Joe - it's not beneath HDT.. it's exactly his method of preference

Well, there could be a lot of truth in the names.

And Burglar was guilty, admitted to part of it, and destroyed evidence needed to understand United States history.

If Tom DeLay is The Hammer, then I proclaim a new title for the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi: The Briber. Nancy Pelosi had to bribe her members with spinach to get their votes.

You are so literal. So black and white. You can't even tell the difference between a NAME and an ACTION.

But who cares about that, right? You just like to show off what you consider to be "clever"

In truth, you don't come across as clever - just incredibly immature.

Ok. No problem.

I'll probably lose my job and place at the university because of your opinion. Oh wait, no I won't.

Well we could test my opinion and determine if its factual or not. Perhaps we should take a poll?

How about we ask everyone and anyone on this message board to answer whether or not they think your nicknames show maturity or not?

Are you willing?

Yes, I'm very willing.

However, it will not change my place at the university or my employment status.

It will also not effect my family and friends, nor my ability to be successful in everything that I may attempt my life.

Thanks.

It also doesn't change the liberal domination of this board, or the ability of the moderators to bully or influence the views of others.

Therefore, the poll may lack credibility.

Did I say it would affect you? I just said flat out it made you look immature.

So - ok - the polling is open.

Post "YES" or "NO" if you think that HDT's namecalling makes him look immature

The polls are now open...

Just in case you missed it.

It's funny how a thread about Sandy Burglar (convicted felon) turned into a referendum on an individual poster's maturity. WOW!

Are you recruiting?

You work at a university and you don't know the difference between "affect" and "effect"?

Are the polls still open?

I hope my ballot doesn't have a hanging chad.

YES

I am a student at the university.

Why yes, the polls are still open. Like in any election, the liberals aren't happy until all votes are counted twice.

This is such a scientific poll.

It's very immature and I really don't understand why it's so popular with the right. I first saw it with Rush Limbaugh who'd always refer to Al Gore as "Algore" (as in Igor) and he still might do it. It made no sense to me and certainly made it harder to listen to his arguments against the VP.

And HD, I read your posts (even the long all cut & pasted ones) and it really diminishes you. And again, it makes no sense. "Grandma Pelosi"? Why in the world call her that? It's not even a slur-- what's the point? And of course, the "Democrat" Party. Again, why? It really makes me discount anything else you say when you do it!

"the liberals aren't happy until all votes are counted twice. "

Revisionist much? Or perhaps it was another George Bush who kept whining in front of the press about the election.

Or was it Sore/Loserman who whined until the Supreme ?Court (seven of them) said that the methods of counting in Florida violated the 14th amendment?

Yes seven justices agreed that a constitutional offense was committed. they only disagreed (5-4) about the remedy.

And remember how Sore/Loserman wanted to exclude all of the military ballots?

Again you prove your immaturity and inability to to write a thoughtful answer without resorting to name calling

Unless you plan on writing on a blog or a pennysaver type rag, you won't have much of a career as a journalist.

Once again - you have overstated your cause, to your detriment.

There was a dispute about absentee ballots that were not properly filled out. It is true that Gore/Lieberman sought to throw out those ballots that did not comply with the voting regulations. Technically they are not validly cast votes.

But go ahead a lie some more.

"The paper documented a successful effort by Republicans to count the maximum number of overseas ballots in counties won by Bush, particularly those with a high concentration of military voters, while seeking to disqualify overseas ballots in counties won by Gore.

Counties carried by Gore accepted two in 10 ballots that had no evidence they were mailed on or before Election Day. Counties carried by Bush accepted six in 10 of such ballots. Bush counties were four times as likely as Gore counties to count ballots lacking witness signatures and addresses.

...

The Times also found a substantial number of people who knowingly cast their ballots after Election Day. Of the 91 voters interviewed whose ballots had either missing or late postmarks, 30 acknowledged marking ballots late. Only four were counted.

While the Bush campaign loudly criticized a Gore supporter's memo that laid out a strategy to challenge overseas ballots, the Bush team had its own such strategy, the Times reported.

A Bush campaign memo laid out a two-pronged strategy — telling Bush lawyers how to challenge "illegal" civilian votes that they assumed would be for Gore and also how to defend equally defective military ballots, the Times said.

Ginsberg acknowledged that they had fought for military ballots while opposing ballots from civilians. Others involved in the campaign denied it."

You silly, silly boy.

I can't for the life of me remember what he means by "Playdough" and "Okinawa."
