Rush Limbaugh thinks Obama possessed his iPhone to warn him about the future. And he actually said that out loud.
LOL

Posted: 4/18/12 at 11:04amYeah, well despite Obama governing as a centrist, the GOP is still trying to portray him as the boogeyman.

Posted: 4/18/12 at 11:30amObama is governing a little far to the right to be called a centrist.

Posted: 4/18/12 at 11:35amI think what's been accomplished is to the right of center because of Congress, but what he's trying to get done is centrist.

Posted: 4/18/12 at 1:15pmWell...he's expanded executive powers in the name of National Defense, his administration has argued the legality of killing American Citizens without a trial, he's escalated the war on medicinal marijuana...in spite of running on the opposite of that. All areas where he's been more right wing than Bush. ANd that was him, not Congress.

Posted: 4/18/12 at 1:26pmFair enough, but he's also enacted healthcare reform, nominated Kagan & Sotomayor to the SCOTUS, signed Lilly Ledbetter, repealed DADT, and countless other things that are far to the left of what any conservative would do.

Yeah healthcare reform. He dropped the public option faster than a hot potato once the insurance lobby got to him. Obamacare was a gift to the insurance industry. The mandate is a conservative idea and it's crazy that the GOP is bashing it considering they are the ones who came up with it in the first place.

Posted: 4/18/12 at 1:40pmWhile the mandate is indeed a conservative idea, it was embraced by Clinton before Obama accepted it, and it really is necessary for any attempt at universal coverage to succeed. As for the public option, it was never going to get through this Congress. And while it is not the ideal that many of us hoped for, it has in fact aided millions of Americans, and will help millions more when and if all its parts take effect.

Oh! And how could I forget that time he signed indefinite detention of American Citizens without a trial into law. That was a highlight. I wonder if he was smoking the hillbilly heroin that day.
From an article in today's LA Times:
“I’m a moderate Democrat, I actually volunteered on Obama’s campaign and now I’m suing him,” she says. “It’s time for us to really start to unify and get strategic about reclaiming our civil liberties. The NDAA was really sort of the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. It’s just such an egregiously vague and dangerously worded law.”
Activists sue Obama, others over NDAA
