Oh and Wild Women Do from Pretty Woman.
I hate that movie but damned if I don't see Julia in that trampgirl outfit every time I hear that song.
I can't hear "raindrops keep falling on my head" without thinking of that scene in Butch Cassady and The Sundance Kid
What a Feeling -- Flashdance!
FAME - Duh, FAME.
this may not be OWNED by this movie..
but i always think of miss congeniality when i hear "mustang sally"
that's really stupid, isn't it? haha oy.
some of you are mentioning songs that were specifically written for the movies mentioned.
the point of the topic is to list songs that weren't written specifically for the film they were featured in but are now identified with it.
a great example is "unchained melody" and "ghost".
"raindrops are falling..." doesn't count, that song was written for the film of "butch cassidy"
"Time of Your Life" - Dirty Dancing
"True" by Spandau Ballet - The Wedding Singer and other Drew Barrymore movies
"The Rockefeller Skank" - She's All That
"Can't Fight the Moonlight" - Coyote Ugly
That's so funny dramaqueen, because I always think of Miss Congeniality when I hear Mustang Sally. (I think of The Commitments too, but I don't think that counts...)

It's not part of a movie(well at least I don't know if they used it in a movie), but when I hear that song "How To Save A Life"(I think it's called), I think of Scrubs.
Yeah, Scrubs used "How to Save a Life" after Grey's used it.
First one that came to mind was In Your Eyes from Say Anything.
Also Jump in the Line from Beetlejuice!!!
Definitely I say a little Prayer with My Best friend's Wedding
Also What a feeling from Flashdance.
And with How to Save a Life - definitely Grey's Anatomy, not Scrubs. Also Counting Cars by Snow Patrol reminds me of Grey's
Every song from Dirty Dancing makes me think of nothing but Dirty Dancing.
And DramaQueen, same here.

That instrumental song in the last scene of Cruel Intentions. It's the only thing I can think of when I hear it, but I can't remember the name.

Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gansta - Office Space
"Mary Moo" from Dumb and Dumber when Jim Carrey comes down the stairs in that amaaaaaaaaaazing outfit.
I think it's fair to say "Superfreak" will never be the same for me after seeing Little Miss Sunshine.
Singing in the Rain - fortunately or unfortunately - reminds me of CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

Ashley, that's The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" and I definitely agree.
"Say A Little Prayer" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice" came to mind pretty quickly too.
Also, "Love Stinks" from The Wedding Singer. That song ALWAYS makes me think of that scene.

Agreed.
American Girl by Bowie is forever tainted to me after watching SILENCE under the influence.
I think it's unfair to classify anything from the GHOSTBUSTERS soundtrack as most of it was written for the movie. Of course the song GHOSTBUSTERS is gonna remind you of GHOSTBUSTERS...dumbasses.

^^ lmao!! yeah, that's like saying that the song "do-re-mi" reminds you of the sound of music or that "cool" reminds you of west side story.

That’s a little harsh, isn’t it? He just misunderstood the topic (as did half the other posters on this thread).
And “American Girl” is a Tom Petty song, not a Bowie song.
