Do you ever have moments when your life after certain events when you just know you need to listen to certain songs? It's like they help you express what you cannot put into words or even thought. I know music is one of the things I turn to the most when someone close to me dies, and I just have moments during the day where a certain song pops into my head and it is just perfect for that moment in time. Currently I have New York State of Mind in my head and it just perfectly expresses how I am feeling at this very moment. Are there any moments with songs like that from your past that stick out or maybe even a song right now that gives you that feeling of perfect expression?

Yes, there are many. I feel like my entire life has a soundtrack.

Right now I'm still on a 'high' from my weekend away, so I've been singing songs like "The Night They Invented Champagne" and "I Could Have Danced All Night" to myself all day.

Don't know if they describe how I feel, but I know that lately when I hum songs from YOU WERE NEVER LOVELIER, I feel good.

A moment of corny self-revelation.

It was my freshman year in college. I used to walk around campus singing to myself "Were Is Love?" from OLIVER.

But, depending on my mood, I also used to sing, "After You Get What You Want (You Don't Want It)."

I was hard to please.

Still am.

I have always believed that my life had a soundtrack and the more things I do the more songs I can add to it.

Aww Rath! Its ok to cry sometimes though. If you need to cry, cry to your hearts content and I am sure many people here will give you a shoulder to cry on and a Kleenex.

My song is Something Good from the Sound of Music. Sometimes when I feel very unloved I either sing or listen to this song. It reminds me that I am loved and that there have been some good things in my life.

The show that I'm doing right now is all songs I've chosen to reflect the way I look at life. Music has been such a major influence for me for the past 43 years...I think THAT is why I'm so attracted to musical theatre...I'm one of those people who feels that sometimes a situation just seems to necessitate bursting into song to express how you feel. Thats why musicals work for me.
The show I'm currently doing has a lot of what I think of inspirational (to me) songs and songs of love and how love should be shared and is needed in this world.

"I don't really get the ending,all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang,and later she kissed him on the toilet,after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung,and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen,and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady?Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
