I don't really understand why you're reading this post and not going to see SORORITY ROW. Seriously, get out of the house and see this TO-DAY. I thought it was so campy and hilarious and to anyone who loves the genre, I really do recommend it .
Watching it, I just knew the two guys that wrote it couldn't be straight, it's totally something two gay men who love horror movies would write - It's HEATHERS meets SCREAM. lol
Has anyone else seen it yet?

Posted: 9/13/09 at 4:37pmAfter seeing Halloween II, I've been scared-off seeing another horror film. Please tell me it's better than that. The trailer looked like a complete rip-off of I Know What You Did Last Summer.

I can totally see where it would look like I KNOW WHAT YOU DID... and to some extent the plot is sort of the same but this is just a lot of fun (to me at least). I wouldn't even put this in the same category as HALLOWEEN 2. That was just crap.
Of course since I posted this everyone else who sees it is going to hate it and think I'm crazy. lol

Posted: 9/13/09 at 4:50pmThe H2 board on IMDB is full of people who are CONVINCED that it didn't flop because it made $30M when it really doesn't even dent their actual movie budget.

Posted: 9/13/09 at 4:51pmI'll wait for DVD or cable. I can't see slasher movies in a theatre. Creeps me out and I'm always looking behind me.

Technically 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' reminded you of the original to this REMAKE 'House on Sorority Row'

Posted: 9/13/09 at 9:06pmNo, I know the original film. But I just meant I know what you meant when you said it reminded you of I KNOW WHAT YOU DID.

Posted: 9/13/09 at 9:25pmAny movie that has someone from "The Hills" in it deserves to tank! That's my opinion!

The problem with todays "camp" is that it is fabricated to try be camp. Whereas in the 70s and 80s, the movies were just cheap and bad and that was the fun.
These films are filled with C-listers, are overproduced, cost a pretty penny to make and market. Plus, they are all PG-13 which means there is nothing really trashy or gory in it.
Back in the 80s, the films were all rated R and had bad actresses jiggling their bubbies, cheap special effects and some real scares. I hate most of the horror that comes out nowadays. LIttle of it is any good or even fun.
