So why do we think Hilary is so hated? Or is she- She isn't as unpopular as our current president, actually. But as HD showed, she's a popular whipping post for the right- why?

WM - now you have gone a wee bit too far - Liverpool was baiting you, and you responded. Most of us love this country deeply, but feel that the present administration has done serious damage to the nation - don't equate criticism of Bush and the current political environment with a lack of love or devotion to this nation.

You don't have to like someone to respect them - but you have to respect them. I do not respect Bush, and am counting the days until his presence is removed from the Presidency.

Wicked_mimi, the guys who drafted our constitution provided all kinds of safeguards so we can go ahead and call the president stupid all we like and get away with it. They even provided provisions to allow us to get rid of the president if he or she is really, really stupid. I think our national law encourages us to criticize all we damn well please.

I have my problems with Hillary but I do admit a grudging respect for her. Still, I have a hard time taking any of her actions at face value. She's a VERY savvy politician...

I don't even like Bush. I am just sick of people having zero respect for the people who run our country, Senator Clinton included. I think everyone can agree on that considering every single candidate is campaigning on "change". I just don't understand why people cannot have respect for anyone.

I NEVER said to leave. I said if you have a problem with it you CAN leave. Nobody is keeping anyone anywhere.

YWiW?... I agree with what you say by respecting the office and not actually the person. That is fine. Atleast there is respect involved. That is not the case with Liverpool, however.

And WM, Liverpool has the right to openly criticize whoever he wants - just as you and I have the right to disagree with him.

My only issue is the apparent venom in his tone - he has every right to the opinion.
