Not because of his gayness. Because of his potty mouth. Quoth the PTC:
PROFANE LANGUAGE – During the study period Nickelodeon aired an episode of Sponge Bob Square Pants entitled “Sailor Mouth,” the subject of which is foul language: Innocent Sponge Bob doesn’t understand the dirty word graffiti he sees on a dumpster but Patrick tells him it’s a “sentence enhancer” for when you want to talk fancy. The rest of the episode features Sponge Bob and Patrick using bleeped foul language [“****,” “asshole,” etc]. The bleeps are made to sound like a dolphin which makes the whole thing seem humorous. At the end Sponge Bob and Patrick realize the words are bad and promise to never use them again but the episode ends with them telling Momma Krabs the 13 bad words Mr. Krabs has just said. All are punished by Momma Krabs for “talking like sailors.” [August 1, 2005]
Never mind that none of the offending words actually appear in the episode. Nor are they really even implied -- unless Brent Bozell and his idiotic cronies are somehow fluent in dolphin. Good grief. My suggestion is that the cable companies start offering the "Pablum Package" for people like Bozell, where it's nothing but Pax, Pat Boone movies, reruns of David the Gnome and Joel Osteen (with special appearances by his flight-attendant-abusing wife). And then they can drop this a la carte nonsense.
Read the other complaints. It's sad and funny at the same time.

Seems to me Patrick and Spongebob learn the right lesson in the end. Isn't that what's supposed to be important?
BTW: "Critic" love!!
That is actually a very old episode. Way for the fundies to jump on the bandwaggon a few years too late.
No kidding. And "Sister Sister"? Dude. That show was canned when I was still in college.
But Calvin, don't you know that David the Gnome has a satanic agenda? They should watch "Davey and Goliath" re-runs instead.
"The rest of the episode features Sponge Bob and Patrick using bleeped foul language [“****,” “asshole,” etc]."
I've seen this episode and there's nothing to suggest that those are the words that are being bleeped out. That one article uses worse language than anything in that episode, so I don't see how they can be so judgemental.

Damn that Spongebob! My three-year old niece loves that show and she has turned into a potty-mouthed, smoking, drinking hussy ever since she started watching at the ago of one!
Spongebob, you ruined my niece!
SEXUAL CONTENT – Disney’s Sister, Sister had sexual content falling into a number of categories, from references to pornography to innuendo:
Lisa falls down and hurts her back while getting ready for her date. When Terrence gets there, he starts rubbing her back and Lisa moans and groans.
Lisa: “Have you ever done this before?”
Terrence: “Not with anyone as pretty as you.”
Lisa: “You have done this before!”
He feeds her a melon and then talks about choosing the best melon.
Terrence: “You gotta’ get real close (he moves closer) and feel it. Then you gotta smell it.
Lisa: “Mmmmm.”
Terrence: “Of course, the skin should be firm but supple.”
Lisa: “Just the way I like it.”
Terrence: “And it should want to give…”
Lisa: “Oh, it wants to give.” [August 27, 2005]
Does anyone else think that this is one of the funniest things ever? I don't know why, but I am sitting here giggling over the silliness of those lines.

are the ponies in your avatar practicing to work the street corner? cause they all look a little whorish.
Besides, everyone knows that all the problems in the world can be traced to that moment in "Saved By The Bell" where Zach and the gang drank a beer, got drunk and crashed Lisa's father's car.
I gotta go with Jessie Spano and her caffine pill addiction.

Good thing Zach learned his lesson. He'll never drink and drive again.

OMG Kitz, the best Television episode in the history of all TV and all shows.
But did he, touchme? Did he?
Just one week later, he was trying to scam Mr. Belding and the school into selecting his school song "Cool School" (which needs to be worked into a Broadway show, BTW) by sabotaging all the others. Such blatant disregard for his peers should not be tolerated on our nation's airwaves.
eta: You guys are incorrectly referencing the episodes with the wholesome Kelly and Jessie. The Tori years were the point of moral decline, with the thinly veiled references to her lesbianism. I mean, she wore a leather jacket and rode a motorcycle. What does that teach our children?

Scandalous!
oh please, they saw the spongeback mountain parody, but cannot admit that they watched it and are now ginning up some "other"reason for attacking the little yellow holy man.
