As much as I enjoyed her in Meet the Fockers, I was hoping she would not do the third film. I guess I was hoping she would do something fresh and original. Since it's so rare for her to do films nowadays I feel doing this film is a waste.

Excellent.
She seemed to have more fun doing the last one than any project I've seen in years.
I hope this brings her as much joy and hapiness!

I just hope Dustin Hoffman agrees to be in it now.
She is in the midst of designing her 37th doll house; while waiting for the lumber to come from Barcelona, she is going to make this film.
Can't her husband Lurch bitch slap her into making a real film? All that talent gone to waste.

Her husband is busy making her smile privately - god bless him and her.
IMO the "Focker" franchise is a waste of oxygen. I mean, the first movie was cute enough, but let it lie. It's a fat payday for all involved. That's why they are doing it. It's all sophomore humor with old people. Expect lots of farting, pooping, exhausted parents needing sex, cute kid- theyll probably throw in an animal for some dog humor. Its perfect entertainment for the unwashed masses during the 2010 holiday season. It will be basic in all respects.
Barbra is a very smart business woman. She'll get a hefty paycheck, profit participation, and again, open up herself to a new generation of a younger audience.
I loved her in MEET THE FOCKERS. She was incredibly funny and relaxed in the part. I also loved her character. It'll be great to see her in the third installment.
She'll make money for crap instead of doing quality films. A talent gone to waste. Shame.
No one is exactly lining up to cast her in quality films---at least it's a way to keep he name out there.
Cat. It's always a cat for animal hijinks in the Fockers movies.
Hmmm What's New, Pussycat?
While I would love to see her in something original, I love the Meet the Parents movies so for her to be in another one will be fun to watch. I'm just grateful to see her in a film again...I'm glad she's not over working herself. I feel like she's done some powerful, incredible films in the past and now it seems time for her to really let loose and have fun with the films she makes, which she is doing so you go girl!

Stresiand hasn't overworked herself since Funny Girl. She barely lifts a finger until she performs. Have you ever seen the woman's riders? Babs does not break a sweat-she saves it all for her performance.
As far as folks saying no one is lining up to cast her in films, well she can really make her own films at this point.
I'll pass on the fart, baby and animal humor.

I just have to giggle - the lazy person who is ultimately wasting her talent (according to some on this thread.)
I guess with that in mind, her career and track record are pretty amazing.
Why are some of you so upset over Barbra Streisand doing this film? She was funny in MEET THE FOCKERS and in this point in her career she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.
She's smart by making an appearance in these films because it exposes her to a whole new generation who may not (if that's even possible) have heard of her and discover all the great songs she's recorded and films she's starred in.
That's not necessarily a bad thing.
And Q your avatar is frikkin' adorable.

You apparently aren't speaking of the stage show. We (and this is not a joke), thought she had fallen asleep (or died) on stage, that's how languid her performance was. Only when she sang, did she show any sort of spark.
