And if you wanna go the theatre route, Without You, Anthony Rapp's autobiography, is so, so, so good and it WILL make you cry.

HECK YES. Gah that book. I havn't actually read it, but I've listened to it on audio book, and... hearing him actually READ the whole thing? Holyfriggin emotional rollercoaster ride galore!! I literally had to pause the audio a couple of times just to like... take a break and rest from the emotion of it all.

And yeah, Cider House Rules is def one of the next on my booklist! I'm just in love with John Irving's writing style now :)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I'll go with the "Cider House Rules" bandwagon.

Also, "So Far From The Bamboo Grove" by Yoko Kawashima Watkins is a must-read. It's very short but I still cried-- a lot. I first read it in 5th grade, but I still read it when I have nothing else to read.

Also try "Schindlers List" and "The Color Purple." - Two of my favorites.

"I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster. "Say 'Goody.' Say 'Bubbi.'" ... "That's it. Exactly as if it were 'Goody.' Now I know you're gonna sing 'Goody' this time, but nevertheless..."

^oooh, while we're on the topic of wonderful short more children-based books:

Bridge to Terabithia.

I think a lot of people prob read it in school and such, but yeah. Read it in 5th grade and it was one of the most memorable books I have ever read. And talk about making you cry OMG. Hands down one of the most emotional books ever. And it can be read in like.. 3 or 4 hours I think. It's very short, but soooooo soooo good <3

(the movie's amazing too! The new one, good lord not the one that had been made in like 1985 or something hahaha. God that one was terrible)

Oh, I remember crying at the end of "Bridge to Terabithia."

gertie, the Tenth Circle is Jodi Piccoult right? I haven't read that one, but I've read several of her books and they are all great. I just finished The Other Boleyn Girl last week. Great summer book - full of back-stabbing, sex, scandal, manipulation.......loved it!

I'd be up for a book club as well!

KFTC!!!!!
