"It's Hamlet by Kenneth...something. It's supposedly good."

Yes, 4 hours is a long time, but luckily Kenneth Branaugh is the best living Shakespearean actor, in my opinion.
But, I have a feeling that you were given more than one night to do this assignment... procrastination has become a fine art with the spread of the internet.

AHH! I'm taking summer school, too. I got really sick this year. I left school in January and haven't been back since. I received home-bound study for two classes, math and science, but I have to make up my Englsih and history over the summer. I am not looking forward to it.

I didn't particularly like Branagh's Hamlet. But he was an excellent Iago in an otherwise mixed-bag Othello film.
Seriously, though- you're complaining about having a movie for homework? Even in my less-than-humanities-oriented high school, the assignments were always pure reading.
And this thread is making me feel like the world's biggest geek...I took orchestra in summer school for enrichment. It was by free choice and everything. :)

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, tastes like a duck...well...
High schoolers, supposedly interested in theatre, complaining about "having" to watch a 4-hour Shakespearean FILM?
You have no idea how easy you have it. Stop whining.

Didn't watch it, didn't do summaries...still passed.

Excelling is highly overrated.

Right. Why be as good as you can when you can settle for good enough?

Phew, I was afraid you all weren't going to be seeing eye to eye with me on this. :-P
