Irish/German here. Burn baby burn.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I tan way too easily. People might say that's a blessing, and sure I look healthy, but do you know. How long. It takes for me. To get a sock/shirt/bracelet/watch/anything I'm wearing. Tan?

5 minutes in the sun.

My skin is so multi-toned and it's just so weird. I honestly think my right hand is tanner than my left hand because I had it sitting out the car window while we were driving to Wisconsin. Jeebus.

I don't burn to easy, and get a nice even tan. Though I now try to stay out of the sun 'cause I have family members who've had skin cancer.

I tan really easily. When I worked as a lifeguard, I got so dark. When I'd sing places, people kept asking me if I could sing in Spanish lol.

My mom has skin cancer and is going through absolute hell; i advise everyone, DO NOT TAN.

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

Getting a tan without burning is no safer than getting a tan via a burn. The fact that your skin darkens means you've cooked your skin. There is NO SUCH THING AS A HEALTHY TAN. The darker the skin the more likely the cancer. And, even if you don't get cancer, your skin will look like leather, by the time you're 40!

Melanoma: A highly malignant type of skin cancer that arises in melanocytes, the cells that produce pigment. Melanoma usually begins in a mole.

My skin has the capacity to turn only two colors: fish-belly white and cherry red. I've never been able to tan, and thankfully I've learned to accept that. Now I take pains to keep my REALLY fair skin looking nice.

Yes, while my sister walks around looking all tan I take pride that in 30 years I will have less wrinkles.

re: Sun bath or hide inside?

I don't sun bathe. Never have, and never will. I would like to look like I am 40 when I am 40, and not like I am 80. Plus there are so many health problems associated with bad sun burns. I go outside, but I always have sun block on.

re: Sun bath or hide inside?

i tan easily, but i live in florida, so i'm very sun-conscious. i see to many 40-year-olds walking around in 60-year-old looking skin.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: Sun bath or hide inside?

burn...

there is a reason our theatre camp is basically all indoors (except for (hoping I don't offend anyone) the not so good theatres --- techniqually at least)

When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
