Survivor Cagayan anyone?

Posted: 2/26/14 at 9:55amAnyone watching the 2 hour premiere tonight? I'll be watching it a little later because I'll be out with some friends but I am sooo excited for this season! I love the new castaways and I actually like the twist. Except for the stupid Tyler Perry Idol, which is probably one of the stupidest things they could've done. For those who don't know what it is, in the merge they'll be an idol that you can play after the votes are read. So stupid. Hopefully they just flush it right away. But other than that I cant wait for this season! Anyone have any winner predictions they'd like to share?

I didn't even know there was a new season starting tonight. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching.
I just can't seem to quit Survivor.

Posted: 2/26/14 at 2:52pmThere's no Hantz or Colton this season. That's reason enough to watch.

I'll be watching (or recording and watching later), too.
Loyal Survivor fan.
(Agree about the Idol twist. Stupid...)

Posted: 2/26/14 at 4:33pmThe idol twist is really stupid and there's no sense in having it. I believe during the early days of the hidden immunity idol that is how they did it, they played it after the votes were read. What this does is it basically gives someone a free pass to the finals. But what I would it if I had the numbers, I would do all I could to force a tie or something so that person has to play it, therefore it's gone and that person is now vulnerable. I think and hope these newbies are smart enough to do that. Unless, the person who has the idol is a total dud and doesn't effect the game at all, which is actually ideal. But does anyone who's familiar with the cast have any predicitons for the winner? I know it's hard to do especially early but my 2 guesses are J'Tia or Woo. I think if J'tia keeps her mouth shut about the weather and stuff she has what it takes to win. And for Woo, I could totally see him pulling off a Fabio type win from Nicaragua. Anyone have predicitons?

Posted: 2/26/14 at 8:18pmI get home from work at 6:15 and when I get home I really just want to use the computer. There are some days when I feel like watching TV and some days when I don't. I really don't feel like I've missed anything last season when I found out Tyson won. I also could not handle another dose of Colton and Aras.

That 2nd tribal was insane.
And even though he was a whiney idiot, they shot themselves in the foot by voting off the physically strongest player they had and keeping the PSYCHO.
For the girl who wanted to be all about strategy, she obviously has no idea what that word means when she wrote Garrett's name down. Stupid.

Posted: 2/26/14 at 10:53pmTHANK YOU. He was my everything you. You remember that commercial with Britney Spears where she's in a the hotel and she sees a guy and she has a flash where she sees what it would be like to know him? That's how I felt when I saw Garrett. He pinged my admittedly terrible gaydar, but a brief cursory internet investigation tells me he's straight. And Jewish. One out of two ain't bad.

I don't think I like most of these people.
But, I'm hooked. For life.

Posted: 2/27/14 at 12:59amHow in the world was Garrett put on the Brains tribe? wha?... And JTia can't do puzzles? I think the producers set the Brains team up..

Posted: 2/27/14 at 9:27amJust finished watching the premiere, holy crap that was insane. The brains voting out the asshole David first was a great blindside, and probably the right move considering Garrett and David would not work together. Voting out Garrett was probably the wrong move challenge wise but I'm happy he's gone. Although, he was by far the hottest guy this season. Am I the only one who finds none of the guys on the beauty tribe attractive? They should've swapped LJ and Garrett, it would've made a lot more sense. and ironically, the brains tribe is probably the dumbest tribe in the history of Survivor.

NONE. Seriously, they kept the KRAZY bitch who got rid of ALL OF THEIR FOOD and got rid of the only person that could help them win challenges.
Everyone on that team (except for the other guy, I forget his name) deserves to be sent home ASAP, which will no doubt happen very soon.

Posted: 3/13/14 at 9:11pmI am always highly suspicious of anything that appears to be a coincidence. I'm fairly certain that they set up challenges, mergers, conversation in Tribal Council to achieve the outcome that is most desired by the powers that be!

***SPOILERS***
Hoo boy, this week was fun! Lindsey managed an exit that rivaled Colton as being the weakest excuse for quitting in the history of Survivor (though Probst somehow found it admirable). She said she quit because she was afraid she'd have no physical self-control with regards to Trish and didn't want to be a bad example for her daughter. Because quitting is a good example? I think self-control and maturity are good examples. But when your basis for quitting boils down to "she was being mean to me!", I really can't find any admiration for that.
It's funny how Tony's plan sort of worked for psyching out the other tribe, but then he goes back to his own tribe and basically sabotages himself by blabbing a bunch of stuff that never needed to be said. He really needs to watch his mouth if he wants to stay in the game. He'll end up like Russell Hantz. He's playing to get to the final, but his mouth will prevent him from actually winning if he doesn't wise up.
Loved the Alexis blindside. I'm not sure why anyone thought Jeremiah was smart enough to develop that story about the clue, but Alexis really hung herself by being too aggressive in her strategy. By the time they got to tribal, I would have been much more surprised (and disgusted in their strategy) had they voted out Jeremiah.
