Wow! I just sent a PM to RetroBoy about his Suzanne avatar and asked about Rome Adventure. When I sent him the PM, I had NO idea that she had died. I just scanned down the threads and saw this. She was a huge part of my childhood. You all have done a great justice to her with this thread. It's a wonderful tribute to a wonderful lady. mom

They only worked together a couple of times, but I always link her with James Garner. Both were attractive, earthy, natural talents, whose good-natured personalities seemed to always shine through their work. And they were so sexy together!
She was a good woman, who shared an enormous talent with the world. At least the work will live on, and she can not be in physical pain any longer.

She had a great life, but seventy was too young.
A sad loss on earth, hopefully she was trumpeted into Heaven...

She's reunited with the love of her life.
I love the story of her relationship with Tom Poston:
She met her future husband, Tom Poston, when they appeared together in the 1959 Broadway comedy "The Golden Fleecing," but didn't marry him until more than 40 years later.
Although the two had a brief fling, they went on to marry others. By 2000 both were widowed and they got back together, marrying the following year.
"He was such a wonderful man. He had fun every day of his life," Pleshette said after Poston died in April 2007.
RIP and thanks for the wonderful memories!
And don't forget that she played Karen's mother on "Will & Grace"...
I feel like I lost a family friend.
Hopefully the entertainment mags will do beautiful tributes to her but I fear she will be a little square in the corner of People magazine that is taken up with a full photo of Britney's latest escapade. So sad! mom
Sondheimboy, I thought she was so perfect for that role!
When I was first dating my husband I asked him what famous woman would he most like to date....when he said Suzanne Pleshette I raised an eyebrow and thought 'now here's a good one!' Of course he would have had Bob Newhart along for even more laughs. hmmmm...I hope I'VE been entertaining enough for him!
I had no idea. I just found out today and I am usually not one to be upset when celebrities die but I am this time. Like Retroboy Suzanne has been one of my favourites and I recently did a project on her for acting class . 70 was far too young.
She was due to get her star on the walk of fame on her birthday - 31st Janurary. So sad.
I think I'll have to get my Rome Adventure tape out and watch her W&G episodes.
