Wow. Both shocked AND surprised.
now we'll get an entire weekend of commentators talking about what? yep, t.o. call me cynical, but this will make him look more sympathetic to the public and will make parcells look more like an ogre when he eventually says something unconscionably cruel about this event. which seem to be things that benefit who? t.o. i'm very sorry that things didn't work out for him this time and wish him better luck in the future.
papa, i know you are an insensitive bastard, but did you really just wish T.O. luck in his next suicide attempt? And express sorrow that he failed with this one?
He and his publicist, just denied the entire thing.
Nope. It wasn't a suicide attempt. Looks like he just got his painkillers mixed up w/ his supplements.
Owens: 'No suicide attempt'
didn't you hear, suleen, there was no suicide attempt. the dallas police are lying. the people at the hospital are lying. the paramedics are lying. all of which t.o. can say categorically because according to him he cannot remember a single thing about the incident.
Steroid/Stimulant Stimulant/Steriod...so easy to mix up, ain't it?

That man will do anything to collect a paycheck and find some way not to play the game.
I've been a Cowboys fan for 25 years, but I try to forget he's on our roster.
You know, if I were his publicist, I'd wouldn't deny a thing. So many people see him as a cocky bastard, so why not play up the vulnerability a little bit? Not like I know anything at all about P.R., but hey.

This was really all over the San Francisco media for the whole day yesterday. They were all tripping over themselves talking about T.O.'s poor childhood and how the other black kids wouldn't play with him because he was too dark (I kid you not). These were the same media people who were all over him when he played for the Forty Niners.

In the article I just read, someone stated that he "mistakenly mixed painkillers for a broken hand with supplements he ordinarily takes." Um, if you ORDINARILY take a med (or supplements), don't you normally recognize it? And I take meds, but each bottle is labeled as to what the med is....he can read, right? I don't see how he could possibly mistake meds/supplements - they do not come in same containers. Strange.
