well, there was the production of "Fiddler" with Dom Deluise that Sophia saw, Blanche sings "Put on a Happy Face" for her granddaughter's pageant, Blanche and Rose both audition for the Scottish play, all of them audition for a "Picnic"-esque play with Patrick Vaughn....and of course Dorothy sees "Beatlemania" and "Equus" with Lyle Waggoner and Sonny Bono....

Blanche (to Janet, who is doubting God's existence):
Oh honey, of course He exists. Just look at the beautiful sky, the majestic trees. God created man, and gave him a heart, and a mind, and thighs that could crack walnuts.
