Saw WALTER MITTY tonight and I really enjoyed it! It's a bit
too cloyingly earnest, but it's a sweet, gorgeously shot, and very well-acted film with a really nice message, one that feels particularly fitting for the beginning of a new year. Kristen Wiig, in particular, was excellent, even if her role was thankless. She's proving to be quite a strong presence on film, and clearly she can hold her own when she's not in a full-fledged comedy as well. She's great in this!
It's nowhere near my favorite film of the year and it's pretty hit or miss throughout, but it's ultimately touching, clever, funny, and I found it to be well worth seeing.
