Ok buddy, maybe you just don't like message boards? Or maybe the thing that was driving you crazy was copying and pasting each ane every one of those thread titles into this thread, at 4:34am. That could be it.

"How do any of these provoke any meaningful debate????"

Message boards aren't about debate. They're about discussion. If you want debate, join the debate team.

So, when is Hunter Foster going to make his solo concert debut?

Who cares if these threads don't provoke any meaningful debate? You're kidding, right? It's a message board. People can post and respond to anything they want. And personally, I hate this thread more than any other I've seen in a while.

The threads themselves don't bother me, but lately the thread titles that needlessly use all capital letters and/or REALLY long titles that take up four lines are sort of bothersome. Short and sweet is nice, then I can decide faster whether or not a thread is worth clicking on.

I think I would add "THESE THREADS..." to the list.

Think about it.

The only threads i dislike are "i need an audition song" threads but those quickly get dismissed to the student board anyway.

...are making me thirsty

Ha!

I spend too much time on here as it is, but I don't think I've posted in any of those (these?) threads. Still, I've somehow managed to have some serious (and plenty of not so serious) debates and discussions on here.

I think it's a little scary that you said someone should look to newspaper for trivia.

In the time you spent on this thread (the one called "These Friends" - this is confusing) you could have started a thread intended to provoke a deep and meaningful debate (and no, this one doesn't count) or at least expressed in this thread what sort of things you want people to talk about.

I dunno. Who really *cares*, what's so *passionate* to argue about than "what popstar should play Elphaba?" or "what male roles are in The King and I?" which, mind you, is the most funniest thread I've ever seen on this board

I still don't understand this "sentence." I recognize all those words but the way they're strung together just flabbergasts me.

rockfenris.....what a ridiculously long thread, that basically I ignored, which is really what you should do, rather than spending God knows how much of your time creating the monster you did.......

I just love that Kringas used the word flabbergasts.

Fenris, what were you trying to acheive by starting this thread?

I consider most of those threads to be fine. People like to share their opinions and that's what a message board is about. I actually think a lot of the threads you listed are interesting and new discussions (ie: Clever Lyricists and Examples of Clever Lyric Writing (in terms of rhymes)). And maybe some people don't want "meaningful debate"... maybe some people just want to enjoy themselves and talk about which pop star should play Elphaba...

It was the most funniest?

Are you sure it wasn't more better-er?

As a slight permutation of the classic phrase goes (per Willie to Ron Kovic in Born on the 4th of July...), "if you ain't part of the solution, man, then you're part of the problem".

If there is nothing of interest for you here, then create something interesting.

I'd like to add that the number of people who responded to "those threads" that you listed are testimony to how many people are interested in them. Lots. So, if you aren't, then skip them. thanks.
