I loved those twins dancing. I think I tried to dance like them when I was little.

I really liked Frieda in this too. "Do Innkeeper's wives have naturally curly hair?"

"typical Republican nutjob"

You know, I actually feel sorry for those who simply have conservative views (along the lines of limited government, blah, blah) and have to watch their party of choice (by default) co-opted by these freaks.

Honestly, there is a legitimate difference between liberal and conservative civil and social approach, but where that debate has been taken (by BOTH sides, to my mind) has left it virtually impossible to find a path.

The level of vitriol that the conservative side is directing towards Obama is, IMO, totally unprecedented. I know that Bush was called a "fascist", etc. But at least he was criticized for something that he actually did - Iraq War, torture, Patriot Act. Obama is bashed for something he is not/did not do - he is a Muslim, he does not say the Pledge of Allegiance, he was born in Kenya, his advisors are communists and advocate killing old people, and etc. and etc. Just check Snopes.com for the list of all the lies that are being spread about him. It's not just a disagreement over policy, it's personal.

There was a lot of personal stuff about W. too, we can't even lie. But the underlying themes were never as toxic.

Newayz. This Mayor dude is a complete moron. But at least he's smart enough to not think Charlie Brown sucks. How is that legitimately more upsetting to me than Crazy Racist Mayor?

There was definitely personal stuff being wafted around about Bush too, but certainly not to this disturbing degree. It just seems to me that the next 3 years are going to be a test of how far our society has actually come. As of right now, especially with the blatant lies and attacks on Obama, it doesn't feel very far. I'd just like to see one Righty whackadoodle have the balls to just say it on Fox News already: "He's black and we don't like it. Some of my best friends are black...but for president? Preposterous!!!" Instead of the constant BS that they're conjuring out of thin air.

And to wrap up the other stuff: Peanuts is great. Where else can you get a damn near chronically depressed youngin with a bff who cuddles with a blanket, a crush on a little red headed girl, can't connect with a football to save his life all set to the music of, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest musicians of all time Vince Guaraldi? You can't tell me "Christmas Time is Here", the instrumental or the version featured on the show, isn't a beautiful song. By the by I'm 23 and grew up on Peanuts, so where's the "I'm young" argument coming from?

"where's the 'I'm young' argument coming from?"

Someone who doesn't actually have a point. You'll notice that he hasn't posted since then.

But this is a 'young' poster (who knows the reality) who posts a lot of regurgitated conservative propaganda without even the slightest notion of what it means or implies.

The grain of salt with this one should be VERY large . . .
