Tales from the Darkside marathon on sci-fi

I just saw that it was on. I haven't seen this show in soooo long. It used to really scare me. An episode with Justine Bateman s on right now.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

Woo hoo! I have some (um, you-know-what-type) episodes on DVD. My favorite was the one where the parents made up the story about the Grither, an evil monster that lives at the North Pole, to scare their kids on Christmas Eve, and just as they're trying to comfort the children and tell them that it was just a story, the Grither's hands burst through the window and snap the parents' necks. What an absolutely delightful, f*cked up Christmas tale. And Six from Blossom was one of the kids. re: Tales from the Darkside marathon on sci-fi

I also love the one with Eileen Heckart. And the one where Phyllis Diller and (I think it was Laurence Tierney?) pretended to be exorcists to get money and ended up possessed themselves.

The one where the girl was stuck on the train with all the dead people used to scare the crap out of me as a kid, though. That and the one with a very young Alison Sweeney as a kid who would say goodbye to people as a sign before they died.
