Taylor Swift NOT playing Joni Mitchell in film version of 'Girls Like Us'.

She may not have gotten the role of Eponine in 'Les Miserables', but Taylor Swift still might have a big movie project after all. She is reportedly the front-runner to play legendary folk singer Joni Mitchell in a movie adaptation of the book, 'Girls Like Us'. I think that she actually might be more in her comfort zone in this role than Eponine. What do you all think?

I generally like Taylor Swift and I absolutely love Joni Mitchell...but I'm not sure about this.

Can someone teach her how to act? The one thing I saw her in (that gawd-awful Valentine's Day) she was gawd-awful.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I know that not everyone likes her voice, but I have seen her perform live twice. The first time was on her Fearless Tour and the other time was at the 2011 CMA Awards and I thought she was great both times.

Alison Pill as Carole King? Did they also audition Betty White?

They need a Jewish girl for Carole King. They should have at least tried for Lea Michele.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

If only Sissy Spacek could go back in a time machine and play Mitchell. She'd be perfect.

They need to find a fine actress to honor Joni-no Taylor Swift. Can Judy Greer sing?
