You know, both Andrew "Dice" Clay and Rosie O'Donnell tried this sort of thing. "Oh I know I used to be edgy and then I cleaned up my act for a shot at mainstream success," in Rosie's case it was successful, in Andy's it was not, (nobody even remembers his sitcom), "but now I am going to go back to being the me nobody knew they wanted."
It only added up to dwindling returns because people generally don't react well to somebody telling them "I was being a poseur but now I am real" and then seeing them strike another pose. Which, you may recall, Anthony, was the basis for all of my criticism of you and your little column in the first place.
But good luck with what sounds like an upcoming blog project on what Al Franken calls "the prestigious internet." I'm sure the people who go to it will have an experience they can tell the rest of us about.

Something funny and worth pointing out is that there is always, ALWAYS, at least a little something wrong with everything Anthony writes. This time, he puts Madonna's lyrics from The Beast Within mix of Justify My Love into his signature file, which is supposed to inform those he assumes are just hanging on his every word some sort of clue into his "new direction." I mean, it's Madonna, right? His hero, his savior?
So his sig file reads:
"But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted........... As for the murderers, fabricators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars.......... their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone."
Of course, the real quote mentions nothing of "fabricators." What Madge actually SAYS is: "As for the murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars...."
Somebody get Anthony a Q-Tip so she can clean the wax potatoes out of her ears.
