I just saw him in Burn After Reading last night and he was really good. I don't see movies because he is in them. I do think he deserves an Oscar nod for supporting actor. I think he was that good in the movie. JMO

I actually think he's not a bad actor (and probably a better one than he needs to be to have a successful career). But I like him better in secondary roles.

He's sort of a character actor trapped in the body of a leading man.

Reginald, I'm sure that's what Brad would like to think about himself, that he's a character actor etc. The problem is he never successfully conveys anything like a character. When he underplays we get the painful stab at emoting in TROY, and when he goes from broke we get that hideous batch of ticks and twitches in TWELVE MONKEYS, dear God, what was Terry Gilliam thinking?

I don't disagree, Roscoe. My main point is that I think his performances are more successful when he's not the lead.
