Welcome Sasheer Zamata, the newest (and 17th!) member of the cast of Saturday Night Live this season.
She's the one over to the left.
Which one?
The one with the nice smile.
Which?
The one with the fun hair.

Don't make me say it. Ugh. That black girl!
Yes, her dimples are black as well.
Well, that was racist. I don't know why you needed to point that out, Diva.
Well OBVIOUSLY she's….you know…bl….african american. I was just trying to be PC.

Diva's dimpleist, but he's old school, so we forgive him.
She's blackfricanamerican.
Well whatever she is, I'm thrilled she's joining the cast. I can't wait to see her first show!
I thought this thread was going to be about Danitra Vance's skit on SNL: "That Black Girl" which was a parody of the Marlo Thomas series "That Girl".

Huh.
How did those sketches go?
I always loved this scene.

After her mastectomy Danitra Vance did a one-woman show at The Public called "The Radical Girl's Guide to Radical Mastectomy" (in workshops it was called "My Left Tit" but newspapers--particularly The NY Times--wouldn't take advertisements with that title). It was a very funny show where she opened the play by exposing her missing left tit. She obviously had an amazing sense of humor even while going through a terrible ordeal.

She was also a cast member on SNL during the "it was all a horrible, horrible dream" season. If you don't remember then you are way too young.
No video available but here is transcript:
Madonna: Hi, I'm Madonna. [ minimal audience response ] I said, Madonna! [ major audience applause ] Thank you. That's more like it.
As you may remember, one year ago tonight I hosted the premiere episode of "Saturday Night Live". Therefore, NBC has asked me to read the following statement, concerning last year's entire season. [ takes out a piece of paper ] Ready? [ reading ] "It was all a dream, a horrible, horrible dream." And now, to confuse you even further, "Live, from New York, it's Saturday Night!"
