The "Add Two Lines To My Hideous Mega-Song" Game

Basically, here's what you do. I post a line from a Broadway song, and you add a line from a DIFFERENT Broadway song that rhymes. Then add the line that follows that line in your song, and the next person rhymes it with a line from a different song, etc. We should end up with a horrible song that makes no sense.

EXAMPLE:

Poster one: Of course he now denies it, you'd expect that of a con

Poster two: I remember her, but it seems she's gone.
Where's the girl, where's the girl with the blaze in her eyes

Poster three: And her voice is warm as summer skies
And that sound, it haunts my dreams and spins me round...

And so on.

First line of the hideous mega-song:
Hey, Tracy, hey, baby, look at me!

Sometimes I wonder if she even likes me.
She seems to make you smile
"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

Haha, Elphabelle, me too! Anyway, I felt this was a good place to end this song and start a new one. This one is deliciously tri-polar. I think it's the song Link sings when he's on drugs in the second Hairspray film.

Hey, Tracy, hey, baby, look at me!
Sometimes I wonder if she even likes me.
She seems to make you smile
For awhile
But in time
Spruced up and lookin' in me prime
Girls, come and kiss me
I don't care if he's a nobody
In my heart, he'll be a somebody, somebody to love me; I need it.
Gimme that thing called love.
