Is anyone else excited to see this? I saw some clips on the official website that gave me the chills.

Early reviews claim that this remake surpasses the original. I trust that's a good thing, even though I hated the original.

Yeah, I want to see this, but I kinda don't cuz the first one got me scared out of my mind. Especially when, a week later, I actually saw the real house......

But it does look good!

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

Sin City had some amazing trailers before it. This trailer, which REALLY got me going (I mean come on! Alannis Morissette is one lucky gal!) was followed by the best teaser for a film I've seen in a LONG time, Red Eye. Even if that film stinks, the trailer pretty much guaranteed I'll go see it.
And I will DEFINITELY see Amityville.

I think it will be better. It stays truer to the book, which the original did not. I read the book, and it is actually scary, which is what made the original disappointing.

By the way, don't believe the Hype, people. It says "Based on a true story". The only truth to that story is that the boy actually did kill his family. Everything after that was proved to be a hoax many years later.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Definitely. When I first saw the "Red Eye" trailer, I could have sworn it was a romantic comedy. And all of a sudden, Cillian Murphy's eye turns red and I was like "What is this?"...

Guys, it's from Michael Bay...you know it's gonna blow.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

The producer is Michael Bay. He isn't the director. Andrew Douglas is the director... and disappointingly this is one of the two films he's directed (First one being "Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus").

Maybe it will suck. Maybe it won't. I'll go cause I think Ryan Reynolds is a hottie.

Eight reviews have already been published, that I know of. Seven were very positive, one was negative.

Ooooohhhh. I'm such a wimp... I don't think I could handle it! :) When I was about 12 I saw this thing on TV about Amittyville. I think it was on the history channel, and there were photos, and clips of the family talking and everything. It scared me out of my mind. I was sooooo freaked out for a long time. If I think about it now it still gives me the chills (I'm 14.) Dunno... maybe I'll give it a try. For now I need to go find my blankie... :) Lol, jk.
