Dollypop states that his granddaughter will be 4 on St. Patrick's Day. She's coming over tomorrow to help him fold the wash. (She goes into the dryer to pull out clothes that are in the back of the drum.)

Stockard thinks that is such a cute age.....and tells Dolly that Henry used to like to "help" do the laundry when he was that age too.

Schmerg_The_Impaler just came back from her first voice lesson with a new teacher and learned more in one day than she did in a year with her previous teacher!

Schmerg_The_Impaler wishes she could have had this voice teacher BEFORE the Annie Get Your Gun audition she had earlier today...

Select A Member Name is extremely embarrassed by her musical audition and wants to crawl into a hole and die.

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

SAMN will crash PiraguaGuy2's audition and ruin him forever. Bwahah.

Down through the years Dollypop has played Mendel, Motel and Lazer Wolff in various productions of FIDDLER. He's also designed the sets for another production of it.

Dollypop wonders if Pajama Guy would consider playing Fruma Sarah. Why? Dollypop thinks PG would look good in pearls.

Yes! PiraguaGuy2 likes that idea. Maybe he can pull a Mary Testa and forget what show he's in for ten minutes of stage time per performance.

Schmerg_The_Impaler's first exposure to theatre was Fiddler, and she's wanted to be in it since she was eight, but has never gotten the chance.

Schmerg_The_Impaler thinks PG2 would be a pretty kickin' Motel.

DG has played Motel and it is the best role in the show and hopes PG2 gets it

When Dollypop played Motel, he was replacing an actor who had been injured in a car accident. Dolly had 6 rehearsals to prepare for the role.

When Dollypop played Lazer Wolff, he had two weeks to prepare for the role and ONE 45 minute fit-in rehearsal.

One can only hope that when he gets to play Tevye, he'll have a full rehearsal period.

justagirl2 typically refrains from this thread because she can't imagine anyone cares what she's doing, but wants to wish everyone luck on their auditions/results...especially PiraguaGuy, because she herself is a former Tzeitel.

Marianne2 is very frightened from the Catholic group her parents have over tonight, and therefore is hiding.

SAMN has now made ifuweregay93 her new best friend ever because she knew what he was talking about before she even clicked on the link. But she loves the song Taxi Driver better. :)

Ifuweregay93 thinks Taxi Driver is hillarious, but prefers "Priest" for some unknown reason (which is really weird because I'm a christian).
