Sure, it's ridiculously unhealthy but it tastes just like a freshly grilled mountain of bacon. Call it disgusting. Call it greasy. But you cannot accuse it of not delivering on what it promises.
All hail the Baconator! Responsible for me gaining twenty-five lbs. over this summer!

Posted: 11/14/07 at 12:51amI'd rather just have the mountain of bacon. Once that description got to the mayo, it just got offensive.

I had a baked potato at Wendy's and I was eating my potato and I looked at the sign on the wall pushing the Baconator combo which comes with a large fries and large soda.

Got this from a fast food blog:
"Wendy's new "Baconator" sandwich has six strips of hickory smoked bacon on top of 1/2 lb. of beef with American cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise.
""This is one of the most successful new product introductions we've had in some time," said Wendy's Chief Executive Officer and President Kerrii Anderson.
Morgan Spurlock wept.
"Wendy's sold 25 million of the Baconators in the first 8 weeks they were being promoted.
"That's over 20 billion calories and 2,810,893 lbs of fat! That much fat is equal to 439 H2 Hummers. (And you'll need a Hummer to tote you around if you eat many Baconators!)
"Here's the nutrition facts for just 1 Baconator: 830 calories, 460 calories from fat, 51 grams of fat, 22 grams saturated fat, 2.5 grams trans fat, 170 mg cholesterol, 1920 mg sodium, 35 grams carbs, 1 gram fiber, 8 grams sugar, 57 grams protein."

Okay then I have a question...
Snarkiness aside, what exercises would you do to burn off all 830 calories from the Baconator?

Oh Cruel I think most posters burn that many calories railing against you & your Threads.
Personally I found the baconator lacking. It needed something. A single with cheese & bacon has a better flavor profile and half the calories- so you can just eat two of them!

It depends on your weight, Cruel, and what exercise you are doing. Me? It would take 2 hours of "fast dancing" to burn off that many calories.
Jitterbug contest, anyone?

Fats, or lipids, are nutrients in food that the body uses to build nerve tissue (like the brain) and hormones. The body also uses fat as fuel. If fats that a person has eaten aren't burned as energy or used as building blocks, they are stored by the body in fat cells. This is the body's way of thinking ahead: By saving fat for future use, it plans for times when food might be scarce.
A calorie is a unit of energy that measures how much energy food provides to the body. The body needs calories to function properly.
