You're making things up again, Arnold. No one wrote that Nixon resigned as a direct result of his moral character. He resigned because he understood he was not above the law.

You've dodged the facts (yet again) in favor of posting a reaction based on your altered perception.

That's... that's literally not true. If he thought he wasn't above the law, he wouldn't have committed the crime. He resigned because the plurality in the Senate DECIDED he wasn't above the Law and got out before the hammer dropped forcing him out. If he thought he wasn't above the law then he would have let it play out and let himself be brandished the title of First President Removed from Office. Every President likes to think they're above the law, it's dependent on those in Congress to provide guiderails and reminders that they are not. A role Congress has seemingly forgotten about...

(I felt your statement could use a dramatic visual for emphasis.)

In your list of If he thought he wasn't above the laws, you included the fact that he was the first president to resign from office. ("If he thought he wasn't above the law then he would have let it play out and let himself be brandished the title of First President Removed from Office"The British Royal Family - "removed from" as opposed to "resign from".

 I think that's what I wrote, also.

PS: I like your updated avatar photo. If that photo is of you, IMO, you're blessed.

PPS: I'm hoping you'll add more of your thoughts re: why "let it play out and let himself be brandished the title of First President Removed from Office" demonstrates a stronger understanding that he was not above the law (as opposed to the choice he did make to resign).

To my mind, a decision to stay in office is an immature choice that Trump would make - refusing to acknowledge, "it's over".
