How do you spot a biased News Source? Here's a great example.

The Republican party KNOWS that the vast majority of Americans DO NOT support a government shutdown- especially not to advance a partisan agenda. But if you RENAME it, polling goes up! So from now own, Rightwingers are instructed to call it a "Slimdown" NOT a "Shutdown." Marching orders received, Mr. Ailes!
Orwell would be PROUD!

Likewise, Republicans re-named the ACA "Obamacare." If your news media calls the ACA Obamacare, you can pretty much bet they are not unbiased.

Well whattya know about that? Updated On: 10/2/13 at 02:12 PM

Hasn't Obama even started calling the ACA Obamacare?

Obama very cleverly co-opted the name, which diffused the negative effect to some degree but not entirely.

"Hasn't Obama even started calling the ACA Obamacare?"

Yes. I don't know many who don't refer to it as "Obamacare."

"Slimdown" is truly the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

"Obamacare" is a more reasonable name for the law than the "AFFORDABLE Care Act".

I've said it before- If there is a Republican party after this debacle, it will regret affixing Obama's name to such a trans-formative and popular program. Imagine if social security had been tagged "Roosevelt care" or if medicare had been called LBJ care?

Meanwhile, many of my friend who work in the public health field call dumping mentally ill patients on the street to fend for themselves "Reaganing"

Um... a friend on Facebook just posted this link: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/30/five-reasons-americans-already-love-obamacare-plus-one-reason-why-theyre-gonna/

It's a Fox News op ed supporting the ACA. Is that real?! I'm genuinely surprised. Let's see how quickly it vanishes.

ETA: From the article, "According to polling, 88% of Americans think these small business tax credits are great, including — wait for it ... yes, 83% of Republicans. That’s right, over eight-in-ten Republicans support the provision of ObamaCare that helps small businesses afford and expand their health insurance offerings to employees." Can someone please share these kinds of stats with the leaders of the Republican party? Thanks. Updated On: 10/2/13 at 04:37 PM

It won't vanish. She's their resident liberal. Click on here name and you'll see her previous op-eds on FoxNews.com praising same-sex marriage and urging Republicans to copperate with the president.

As I've stated before, I don't have cable. But they do run CNN on a loop in the gym I go to. Whenever I look up, it's running the story of the guy who was beaten by bikers.

Just put yer fingers in yer ears and say "Lalalalalalalalalalalala."

Fox does like to employ a "house liberal" to rip apart. See Allan Colmes.

Yeah, the Fox News website operates in a slightly more balanced way than the network. Just slightly. But enough to be surprising every now and then.

Oh and Republicans LOVE our health plans- as long as a Democrat isn't promoting it.

"If there is a Republican party after this debacle, it will regret affixing Obama's name to such a trans-formative and popular program."

I guess it depends on the what the meaning of "popular" is:

Poll: Obamacare remains highly unpopular as implementation looms

By Mark Murray, Senior Political Editor, NBC News

A large number of Americans continue to adamantly oppose the nation’s new health-care law and believe it will produce damaging results, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Forty-four percent of respondents call the health-care law a bad idea, while 31 percent believe it's a good idea -- virtually unchanged from July's NBC/WSJ survey.

By a 45 percent to 23 percent margin, Americans say it will have a negative impact on the country's health-care system rather than a positive one.

Obamacare Arrives 3 Years Later, Little Understood and Not Well-Liked

On the law itself, moreover, 52 percent are opposed, vs. 42 percent in support; in 16 ABC-Post polls since August 2009, it has never received majority support.

More than half of Americans oppose most or all of the proposals in Obamacare, a sharp increase in opposition to the healthcare law from earlier this year, according to a new poll Wednesday.

Poll: Obamacare opposition climbs

Fifty-seven percent of those surveyed said they opposed most or all of the proposals in the law, while just 39 percent favored most or all of the law, according to a CNN/ORC International poll.

One wonders how a large number of Americans would feel absent the large volume of disinformation, half truths and downright lies they've been fed by right-wing loons and liars.

Yes, and we saw some of those 44% on the Jimmy Kimmel show and they thought Obamacare and the Affordable Healthcare Act are two different things.

There is more than 44% of this country who are idiots and have drank the Republitard Kool-Aid.

Are these the same majority that think the GOP is to blame for this mess, according to several different polls?

Well if you're going by majorities fox news is the majority news network. They get more viewers then cnn and msnbc combined.

Its funny when leftists quote commedians like john sterwart andJimmy Kimmel. .. as todays years Walter Cronkite! Can't wait to hear their thoughts on Syria ... they don't realize how silly they sound gettng their news from comedy shows..

You can tell who fox news audience is if you watch them for more than five minutes. All of their commercials are for mail order catheters and walk in tubs.

But those comedy shows aren't wrong. I think more people in general trust Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart over Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.

Perhaps the best example of a typical Fox News Lie of the minute is when Keith Olberman years ago called Sean Hannity. This was not Sean mis-speaking or his comments being taken out of context. No, this was a blatant lie. Many more out there but this one is an all time favorite of mine

Fast forward to the 1:52 mark to see what I mean

Ever see SNL's Fox and Friends? Its funny because it is true. They are all idiots. Morons. SO are the people who get their news from them. The scrolls of corrections are always the best. They could be actual stories.

So, when these Fox News Liars and others in the conservative media out right LIE,like what they have been doing about Obamacare, people enjoy watching these liars be made fun of. They deserve to be exposed and humiliated. So, don't mock the FACT that more people get their news from comedy shows than Fox news. Remember, Fox News does not mean to be comedy where the others do.
