Did anyone catch it last night" Amy Poehler as Dakota, hosting a talk show. Her guest was Abigail Breslin (played by Drew Barrymore). Dakota, of course, ispissed off that Abagail, at ten, already has an Oscar nomination, and she, at 12, hasn't had one.
Dakota: I played the daughter of a retarded man in SAM I AM, I played a girl being hunded down by killers in MAN ON FIRE, I fought alens with Tom Cruise in WAR OF THE WORLDS...
Abigail: Umm... I did a funny dance!
Dakota: In my next movie, I get RAPED!
It was perfection. Poehler had Fanning down to a T.
I JUST finished watching that skit. It was one of the funniest things that's been on SNL in years.
Sadly, they'll probably try to repeat it again and again, when it will never have the same effect - the best part was the whole Breslin thing.

Listen to the woman, SNL. She, more than anyone, knows whereof she speaks.
Having said that, the caffeinated job applicant made me LOL.
That was absolutely HILARIOUS and it took me completely by surprise since I've gotten used to expecting only mediocre/bad skits.
I also really liked the skit with Drew Barrymore playing the extremely nervous and rambling woman at a job interview. XD
"the caffeinated job applicant made me LOL."
I certainly hope they're not listening to you, in that case.

its interesting...all the people in the GREY GARDENS group have been dreading Drew Barrymore's portrayal of Little Edie in the upcoming GREY GARDENS film...but because of her performance last night on SNL, theyve changed their minds & are now all very enthusiastic!!!
That was SO hilarious. They got Abigail's costume perfectly.
n69n, where have they been for the past 20 years?
Hilarious.
"It's a very witty observation, perhaps the references are over your head."
One of the very few good skits outside of Justin Timberlake lately.

I was laughing out loud at that skit last night. And Kenan Thompson's facial expressions every time he got insulted by "Dakota" were hilarious!!

As they were in "I Will Beat Yo Ass" and the caffeinated job applicant. For viewers with senses of humor.

Yes, he's very funny... I turned the TV off after the first musical performance, but I did see the caffeinated skit, which was a crack-up, too. Drew was really great in that.

Body Fusion was hilarious to ha
I just watched the skit online...that was pretty funny, wasn't expecting that from SNL.

Especially when drew said, "oxyenegate" and at the end when they looped her saying "Body Fuzion."

The Firestarter sausages sketch was funny, too. I think this season as a whole has been much more hit than miss, and I thought Drew was a great host.
I know, Namo - those who don't find the same things funny as you do have no sense of humor.
Kenan Thompson was fantastic in everything last night - especially the Dakota show.

Rath, Rath, Rath, you stealer of copyrighted Getty Photo Images (as it clearly says right across your avatar), when you wrote:

I thought you were implying that the sketch was inherently not funny. Which of course it was. But now you're presenting it as just a matter of personal taste. In which case, I stand corrected and agree with you. Some people with good senses of humor find things funny and some people without don't. And the world goes 'round.
*snort*
Hilarious! After seeing Amy Poehler playing the country club attendant, I couldn't help but notice the similarities to Daniel Radcliffe, although obviously it would've been impossible to do double-duty on The Dakota Fanning Show.
