Usually I would agree, but I never get freaked out at horror movies. This would be the 2nd or 3rd time EVER!

Posted: 12/27/06 at 11:51pmI saw it when it played in theaters. Once those broads stopped yapping, and got to the cave, it became a really fun film. I liked the way the director used different sources of light, to let you identify who you were seeing.

Posted: 12/28/06 at 1:03pmThere was one thing that didn't sit well with me (dealing with one of the characters), but overall GREAT, GREAT horror movie.

The best horror film of last year. Just a good ol' solid B-movie chiller with some pretty damn amazing sets (yes, those were sets).
You might also wanna check out SLITHER, which is another fun B-movie.

Seriously, I hated the ending. It ruined the entire film for me.

****SPOILER ALERT****
You mean the VERY end when her escaping is a dream or when she rams the weapon into that girl's leg?
I didn't like how she did that to that girl and left her to be eaten. I understand that she cheated on her husband, but the "killing" of the friend was a complete accident and not her fault.

Actually, all of that, Spider. Just so terribly cliche. "oooh, the Descent! It's about these monsters but it's also this one woman's descent into her own personal trauma and back! And, catch this! Her escape's all in her head! She can't get out from her own problems! It's so meta! I need another hit of the good stuff now, Tommy."
Whatever. Blew it for me.

Aside from the numerous "gotcha!" moments, which grew too numerous, the n]biggest scare for me was the night-vision shot of the "gollum" on the camcorder.
Nearly crapped myself.

Posted: 12/28/06 at 4:46pmI love this movie. I watched it last night and I was totally creeped out which doesn't happen very often. The last half of the movie my heart was racing and I was at the edge of my seat!

Loved it. This movie scared the **** out of me. Very well-directed, to the point where the supernatural elements of the script seem plausible. The editing and cinematography had a suffocating quality about them.
I'm not claustrophobic, but I was gripping the armrests at some points. While the camcorder scene surprised me, it was the scene where Sarah gets her first look at the "Crawlers" that gave me nightmares.

Love this movie. Saw it in the theatre and just bought the Original Uncut Version on DVD from Best Buy - so it includes an extra "beneath the scenes" featurette which was extremely interesting.
It's nice to have a horror movie with more substance to it.
I do get upset with the ending between Sarah and Juno and always wish Juno would explain what happened to Beth.
I like the original ending better than the "escape from the cave" American ending.

yeah i saw it
Borststalboy, it scared me when one of the girld were packing and bill came out of the closet and put a bag ove her head and but her in a rocking chair in the attick considering i have a chair in my attic. I didn't get the ending when they found the body and the last girl was okay then the phone rang again and then it ended. Question i forget did everyone die in the new one. it was very confusing.
