I'd say I'm w/ you gymman and NCGuy on W&G's 15 nominations, but I didn't watch a single episode last season (though I guess for someone who used to be a regular watcher, that says a lot in and of itself)...I didn't even tune in when they brought Bobby Canavale on board, who I really enjoy (loooved him in The Station Agent). *shrug*
Hugh Jackman was nominated. I am so there.
The fact that the tired W&G got nominated is questionable.

Well, at least both of my Hughs were nominated!
Hugh Jackman for the Tony's
Hugh Laurie for "House"
If only Lauren Graham (or Kelly Bishop) had been nominated, the trifecta would have been complete.
But YEAH for Scrubs and Zach Braff!
I'm sorry, but did AMERICAN IDOL really get nominated for Art Direction? Yea, those signs the audience holds up are spectacular, and the red Coke glasses the judges use really bring out the red in Paula's eyes.
No nominations for Lauren Ambrose or Rachel Griffiths for Six Feet Under??? No point in watching the Emmys now.

I'm disappointed Martin Sheen didn't get nominated for his astonishing work with the MS relapse while on the Japan trip on The West Wing. Stockard Channing gave him beautiful support and did get nominated.
I'm also disappointed that Kirstie Alley wasn't nominated for Fat Actress.
And still nary an acting nomination for Queer As Folk.
Just too many good actors, too few nomination slots available.
All I can say is Jessica Walter had better win.

Who?
Sorry. I don't watch a lot of TV...

*raises hand*
I'd have given her the nod over Tyne Daly or Stockard Channing.
"And still nary an acting nomination for Queer As Folk."
For whom??? I really haven't seen anyone rise above that awful material. Perhaps the woman playing Justin's mother, but that's it.
I am still in shock at W&G's 15 noms.
Looking through the complete list, FIVE of those nominations for W&G are in the Guest Actor/Actress catagories. The show didn't receive any nominations in the writing category (but did somehow manage a "Best Comedy" nod).
I'm so happy for Patricia Arquette. She's excellent on "Medium".
I'm with you Priest, she is genius. An original from Neil Simons "Rumors". I would have really loved to see David Cross nominated as Tobias.
Angela Lansbury is nominated for her guest role in the Law & Order crossover episodes.
I think she is up to 17 or 18 nominations...
