I know this is just cracked.com being jealous of buzzfeed.com, but it does skewer exactly what is most annoying about the buzzfeeding and hyperbole of what passes for contemporary Internet journalism.
4 Reasons 'Viral' Content Stopped Mattering in 2013
I actually really enjoy Cracked. Their articles and lists are usually well-written, often laugh-out-loud funny, and informative.
BuzzFeed, Gawker, et al, on the other hand, want to be taken seriously as journalists while also being carefree, "**** the rules!" bloggers and viral content machines. They can't have both.
Cracked also pays its writers really well and actually vets/edits content for the site from open submissions. I can't say the same for Buzzfeed since they're strictly salaried employees with no submission.
