"I will attempt to re-write the skit as accurately as I can recall and send it you (and Jay if he likes)."
That was funny and spot on correct. That being said, there is no reason IMO it should have been taken down. You said it was a "skit", kind of like you were doing a SNL thing. Pretty sad if we can't poke a little fun but yet other much more offensive things are allowed. Thanks for sending it.
My mate and his friend are at the home of two other friends making reservations to visit D.C. for the Inaugural Ceremonies. They will join others in peaceful protest. Wish I could be there with them.
While peaceful protest is a fundamental right, isn't protesting the inauguration of a Democratically elected President of the United States in conflict with the idea of the peaceful transfer of power? Biden will likely be present and participate to demonstrate and even encourage the peaceful transfer of power, because he likely believes in the great importance of this idea.
Trump thumbed his nose at this idea when he failed to show up for Biden's inauguration. Isn't protesting at the upcoming inauguration also a form of thumbing your nose at this idea? Wouldn't aligning yourself with Biden on this be the more reasonable option? Or do you find that you disagree with Biden on this and have found this bit of common ground with Trump?
