My husband and his best friend plan to visit Washington, D.C. for the Inaugural Ceremonies in January. I must stay home, unfortunately.
However, one of my tours of duty with the U.S. Navy was in Florida, and from there I flew to D.C. several times for a number of reasons (both professional and personal). I love D.C. and spent many happy hours enjoying our Nation's seat of government.
Do any of you plan to attend the Inaugural Ceremonies?

They’d really attend a Trump inauguration?
Sorry… I overestimated you. I remember the 2017 inauguration, and for me the half-empty mall spoke volumes.
I will never support a Trump 47 in any way, shape, or form. Call me patriotic.

You have done nothing wrong Jay. HG has constantly trashed Trump and called him evil and convicted felon. He basically has called him a "scumbag" and vulgar name of the female anatomy. Due to that, it is quite normal that a person would question why a person who despises Trump and thinks he is a "threat to democracy" would go to his inauguration. If the moderators find your comment "bullying" than I don't know what to say. You are not a hypocrite; you hate Trump and would not go to celebrate an election victory by him.

Dude, you are the bully. Every person who does not agree with you 100% gets called names and you threaten to report them to the moderators. Please explain to all of us how it is "bullying/trolling" for Jay to ask a legitimate question. Seems to me and I assume even liberals, it is quite surprising you would attend inauguration if Trump (the convicted felon) won. I would love to have other liberals post and tell us if they would attend a Trump inauguration.

If Kamala Harris is elected President, my husband and our friend are flying to D.C. to join others in happy CELEBRATION. But if the Wannabe Dictator is elected President, my husband and our friend are flying to D.C. to join others in peaceful PROTEST.
I am very proud of these men for being willing to place themselves at risk in their opposition to tyranny, just as they did during their many years of honorable military service.

Ok. Still does not excuse your behavior towards "Jay Lerner-Z". He asked you legitimate question and you once again called him a "bully/troll" when all you had to do is provide the answer you did above in a civil manner. You are the one who always preaches "post with kindness", you may want to try it some time with people who don't agree with you.
Just for the record. If Harris wins as I expect she will, can people with MAGA hats go to DC and peacefully protest

Really Jay. HG is not your friend and never will be. How many times do you have to complain about him "bullying" you to understand he does not like you. Sure, it is nice to forgive and forget but his behavior towards you is very mean and will happen again. Don't ask for help from independent observers if you just keep enabling him treating you like garbage.

Hey moderators, could you explain why a brief skit I posted paraphrasing and accurately describing this exchange between Jay Lerner and Highland Guy was removed? Certainly, I was poking fun at Highland Guy. Is that why? Are we allowed to call each other trolls and bullies but not able to poke a little fun WITHOUT name-calling? In the Presidential 2024 Race topic, some can say attempted assassins of presidential candidates are heroes and that those who support certain presidential candidates should be shot in the head? THAT's OK? What the hell is wrong with you?

They would probably say it was a personal attack and not allowed under their guidelines -lol. For some reason, HG seems to be very protected. He can call everyone names and personally attack certain people and never gets suspended. People like "Jay Lerner-Z", get suspended for breathing -lol. I have been suspended also and the comment I made was nothing compared to what HG has said to "Jay Lerner-Z" and I. Please try to remember this is a very liberal board and probably the people who run it are liberal also. Play role reversal, do you think saying attempted assassin of a Democratic candidate was a hero would be allowed. I think we know the answer to that question.

The moderators are indeed likely aligned on the Left. Regardless, I will give them the benefit of doubt or at least some consideration being they are likely made up of relatively few and don't have the time to consider to any reasonable degree the actual offensiveness of any reported posting. People easily offended report a posting they don't like, and the moderators do their thing as if they're on autopilot. Perhaps there is actual automation, and that explains some of this. I should stop. There may be such a thing as too reasonable.
I will attempt to re-write the skit as accurately as I can recall and send it you (and Jay if he likes).

That was funny and spot on correct. That being said, there is no reason IMO it should have been taken down. You said it was a "skit", kind of like you were doing a SNL thing. Pretty sad if we can't poke a little fun but yet other much more offensive things are allowed. Thanks for sending it.
