LOVED it!
There was, however, no Star Wars trailer before the film.

Oh, what a loss. I guess you missed the Yoda fart.
I see every Pixar movie pretty early, but because of my cousin's bar miztvah, I can't this weekend.
Damn cousin.
(I'm kidding, he's actually very sweet, and it should be a pleasant enough weekend).

For those who didn't.
Oh, and The Incredibles was very enjoyable. First Pixar with gunfire? Don't wait till the end of the credits, nothing happens.
I didn't think Pixar could top Finding Nemo, but they did! The Incredibles has all the cleverness, ingenuity, and humor of the other Pixar films, but also happens to be one of the most EXCITING movies I've seen in a long time. The previews and commercials are ho-hum compared to what you actually see in the film. I was literally gripping my seat during the film and, though there are no outtakes, nearly all of the credits are cleverly animated as well. I can't wait to see it again!
I did see the new Star Wars trailer. It looks very intriguing. I'm curious to see how it all ties together, but given the last two films, I won't expect too much. Well, I'll be expecting something WAY over-the-top and completely unnecessary, which is what this trilogy has turned into. It's really sad to see how what is probably Hollywood's greatest trilogy be completely destroyed by its prequels. When will Lucas ever leave well enough alone? Hopefully, after this film. Not only does he have to go oerboard on the new films, but he can't stop tinkering with what was already an historic and monumental worldwide success. What is wrong with him?

Why do you keep asking that question? Considering the subjects of their previous films, I'm sure it is the first Pixar with gunfire. Why?

Oh heavens, I loved it! A very close second to Finding Nemo. Te little next door neighbor stole all of scenes he was in :)

You don't have a movie theater near you!?

Thought it was great too...a tiny bit slow at parts, but the humor depth and action.....awesome.

And its post-9/11 sensibility is unsettling to say the least.
i just saw it. very entertaining. and... drumroll please... THE STAR WARS TRAILER WAS SHOWN! WOOHOO! can't wait to see that one either.
When STAR WARS EPISODE III comes out, I'm taking all of you guys with me.
I LOVE Pixar. I love every movie they complete! I can't wait to see this one...
Speaking of post-September 11 sensibilities, tell me if you saw this too or if I'm just nuts (minor spoilers, I guess): During the scene where Syndrome's stealth bomber is about to hit the city, did that remind anyone else of the planes flying toward the World Trade Center? And, after it hit, did it remind anyone else of the footage of the Pentagon after it was hit?
Hmmm--I didn't even think about 9/11. I just LOVED this film.
Oh, I loved it too--I just couldn't help noticing that. Maybe I really *am* nuts--neither of my parents noticed that either.

I could have SWORN that in the scene showing the newspapers talking about citizens and their choice between protection and freedom that I saw a sub-head line about the Patriot Act.
nah--I can see how someone might have thought of 9/11--you aren't nuts, Rose. But, either way, I think the country has gotten back to a place where disaster films are ok. I also saw a lot of allusions to other adventure films--some blatant homages (Raiders of the Lost Ark, X-men, various superhero films) and some that I wondered if they were accidental (Sky Captain, Spiderman 2), particularly as these films are at least 3 years in the making.
9/11 never once entered my mind. I don't think Pixar is twisted enough to deliberately upset people in that way. There is nothing to be gained in it.
Loved this movie! Edna was a scream! The short before the movie was a riot. All in all I think this one tops Nemo (and I loved Nemo!)
