Carol Channing played Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly!" Hello Dolly was composed by Jerry Herman. Jerry Herman also composed the score for "La Cage aux Folles" starring Gary Beach. Gary Beach won a Tony for his featured role in The Producers directed by Susan Stroman. Stro directed and choreographed Ziemba to a Tony (though her win is obviously all her own) in "Contact."

Sinatra was on Broadway in FRANK SINATRA, ELLA FITZGERALD, AND COUNT BASIE with, of course, Ella Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald was in UPTOWN IT'S HOT with Robert Fowler. Fowler was in STEEL PIER with Ziemba.
Margaret Hamilton
Margaret Hamilton was the original Wicked Witch of the West in the movie "The Wizard of Oz." That role is currently being assayed by Idina Menzel in the revisionist take on that iconic movie in the musical "Wicked." She had co-starred with Kristin Chenoweth until early this summer. KC stole the show from KZ in Steel Pier.

Frank Sinatra made a couple of movies with Gene Kelly, who made a couple of movies with Fred Astaire, who made several movies with Ginger Rogers, who directed Karen Ziemba in a sumemr stock production of BABES IN ARMS. Of course, Karen's role in CRAZY FOR YOU was essentially the Ginger Rogers role in GIRL CRAZY, and they also both played Roxie Hart.
Oh, and the last known photiograph of Ginger Rogers was of her chatting with Karen backstage at CRAZY FOR YOU.

Bette Midler was a replacement Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, whioch originally starred Zero Mostle, who later played Bialystock in The Producers, which was made into as musical directed by Susan Stoman, who directed and/or choreographed Ziemba in about seven things...
Bette Midler starred in CBS's made for TV movie of "Gypsy" as Momma Rose. Christine Ebersole was Tesse Tura in that production. Ebersole starred in Sondheim's ill fated play, Getting Away with Murder. KZ took part in Sondheim's Carnegie Hall Celebration.
Julie Andrews
Andrews was in VICTOR/VICTORIA with Roxane Barlow. Barlow was one of The Charms in NEVER GONNA DANCE, featuring Ziemba.
Eileen Heckart
Eileen Heckart was the matriarch in CBS' "The Five Mrs. Buchanans." Co-starring with her was Judith Ivey. Judith Ivey was recently Sally in "Follies." Follies was composed by Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim was a protege of Oscar Hammerstein II, who wrote the songs that KZ assayed durin "It's a Grand Night for Singing."
