I used to love watching that was when I was kid. Alfalfa was killed in the 50's and it was ruled justifiable homicide.
Yes Wexy, as I remember it had something to do with reward money for a lost dog...He tried to get into movies by doing his crooning cowboy routine, but it didn't quite work as well when he was in his 20's. He did have a cameo in It's a Wonderful Life.
Darla died of cancer I believe in the mid fifties. She had made a movie or two.
I think the only two kids who went on to adult fame was Jackie Cooper and Robert Blake.
Yes, the short films (including an Oscar-winner!) were original called "Our Gang," but when they were sold to syndication for TV, the couldn't get the rights to use the name from MGM, so they changed it to "The Little Rascals."
Here's a nice little history, for those interested, from Wikipedia...

What a great show. Buckwheat's my favorite...it really doesn't get much cuter than this.

Who is this "Hal Roach" of whom you speak? Anyone who has read Ragtime" (or seen the musical) knows that the Our Gang films were created by Baron Ashkenazy (a.k.a. "Tateh").
