This is the Bret Easton Ellis/Paul Schrader joint low-budgeter with James Deen and Lindsay Lohan. This is a long but engrossing read about the shenanigans that went on behind the scenes.
Poor, deluded Paul Schrader...

When Bret Easton Ellis and James Deen come off as the more chilled members of the group, there are issues abound.

And then I kept on feeling bad for Paul Schrader. You wrote TAXI DRIVER and RAGING BULL, for goodness sakes! MISHIMA! MISHIMA!!! That was your own work! Deluded is definitely the best description of him. Mary Beth Hurt also seems like somebody with so many mixed feelings on the project, hated the script and quit reading it but seemed to green-light Deen getting cast based on looking at his screen-test, and who knows how much her husband told her about the shoot.

He should have called that actress in Paris the moment he realized he would have to drop his drawers.

The article is fascinating but did not get me interested in seeing the film.

I was just watching a couple of the trailers for this film when i saw this thread. The whole thing confuses me but has kinda got my attention.

Definitely an engrossing read. Maybe they'll make a movie about it one day.

I actually am anxious to see it, given the best of Schrader's work: BLUE COLLAR, LIGHT SLEEPER, PATTY HEARST, THE COMFORT OF STRANGERS...

I love this movie for the pure fact that it's got Nolan Funk parading around with his shirt off and in a speedo.
