I've enjoyed certain individual episodes of Parks and Rec, but it's never been a show I watch on a regular basis.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I agree with WHizzer's take on Fox's show completely. I liked all of the actors (some more than others) and it was pleasant but then the more sitcomy parts weren't funny or especially interesting (episode two in particular.) Considering Will Gluck is in charge (who created a number of failed sitcoms I found funny like The Loop and Andy Richter Controls the Universe not to mention the great teen film Easy A--though that may have been great more due to playwright Bert V Royal's script) I expected a more assured tone.

David Kelly did co-create, and was showrunner for Doogie Howser early on, which was 30 minutes--and had that weird Ally McBeal spin off that he as so proud of, Ally which used outakes and bits from episodes to create new episodes.

I liked Crazy Ones alright but it felt rushed, and not that funny to me (standard sitcom tropes like the child essentially raising the adult, etc.) Great to see Amanda Setton on, especially after she was fired from Mindy Project when they retooled it (obviously I loved her on OLTL) and also always nice to see the lovely James Wolk. However, I hope this doesn't mean he won't be on the final season of Mad Men (kinda odd he's on two shows about ad agencies--and while utterly different shows, Crazy Ones could learn a lesson from Mad Men in the ad pitch scenes--the Crazy Ones ideas being pitched weren't funny or interesting, they were largely just dumb which made me wonder how they ever got hired.)

Thought the Michael J. Fox show was boring but I did enjoy NYC location shots.

Mom was a complete surprise and I laughed several times. Allison Janney looks terrific!

I watched The Crazy Ones last night. It was okay. Weird set up for a pilot, though. Loved Kelly. The bit after the last commercial on cbs.com was hilarious.
