Posted: 9/18/04 at 10:35pmI can't believe that *anyone* missed the Gettyburg address question, or the electoral votes question. anyone who watches the news or reads the newspaper at all should know it is 270.

I'll admit I missed the Gettysburg one (never really studied that thoroughly in school), but the electoral vote one was simple. I remember one year it being in the 200s, so I just guessed and was right.
The Olympics one was easy. So was the voting rights one.

Posted: 9/18/04 at 10:42pmNothing's going to beat Miss USA. No brains required. Just big old boobs. Kudos to Mr. Donald Trump. And I have to admit I'm a little bit partial since the winner went to my high school!

I think the audience was clapping for the singing, not the dancing.

Haters! Louisiana was much more unconventional. Not only was she an idiot on that Jeopardy thing, but she did a really bad dance to Idina Menzel's voice and had the guts to wear that hideous dress.
Oh well.

In the middle, I switched over to HBO, Bill Maher interviewing Chrisiane Ammanpour. A real woman. Now, after reading about Ms. Alabama taking the crown ... with her Stepfordized Malamut eyes ... I'm watching GROUNDHOG DAY to get both the pageant and the world crisis out of my frontal lobe.
Oh, why isn't it ... 1957? Speaking of which, tomorrow I'm watching FAR FROM HEAVEN. Julianne Moore in a crinoline is more comforting than bikini-inspired scholarships.
