Dwight will come back...there is no Office without Dwight! But I really don't like where Jim's desk is, they need to move Ryan out and put Jim there.
I have another question about desks. When Oscar comes back where does Andy go?
Oh and I HATE Andy with a passion.

Tonight's episode totally rocked. I think that Pam and Ben Franklin should hook up, haha.
And the steaks on the George Foreman grill. oh my God, Michael is so awkward.

Geek, you referenced my two favorite exchanges of the episode:
Michael: Nothing like grilling in the great outdoors
pan to George Foreman grill
Ryan: Is this the same grill you burned your foot on?
Michael: No! (beat) Yes.
Ryan: Gross!
Michael: I got all the foot off!!
xoxxoxoxoxox
Ben Franklin: You know, they call me the father of chemistry.
Pam: I know.
Ben Franklin: And I'm sensing a little chemistry here.
Pam: Didn't Ben Franklin have syphillis?
Ben: Yes, but I don't.

Posted: 2/9/07 at 9:08amI'm sorry, but this show really needs to be an hour long. Last night's episode sucked because it seemed like they wre trying to fit a lot of stuff into one episode and it failed. I thought it was pretty bad. EXCEPT for Kevin and his Police/Sting cover band, which was hilarious.

Posted: 2/9/07 at 9:16amI also think that the show should be an hour long. I really like this show, but every week I always feel cheated b/c barely anything happens. There's such a large cast, and so many different sub-plots, so it's hard to fit everything into a half hour.

Posted: 2/9/07 at 9:20amMy dad said the same thing last week. "Yeah, it's funny, and there are little events and stuff, but nothing ever really HAPPENS because there's never enough time for anything to happen." At least, not anything substantial. They can fit little tiny segments of everything in each episode, and I think they did it effectivelly in the second season, but this season some of the episodes just feel more empty.

I totally missed it, but EW reported that Ryan knocks the bouquet out of Kelly's hand. HA! I love this show so much, but I always have to watch it twice because too much happens each episode.
While I of course want Pam and Jim together, I really can't help but love Karen and Roy, too.

I actually liked this episode..
I loved the whole Pavlov's Dog thing with Jim/Dwight at the beginning.
The Shrute (sp?) Family Wedding/Funeral thing is classic! I need to go back and rewatch this episode.
It was too obvious a Pam/Roy reunion was coming....arrrggghhh!

marshmallow--I agree with everything you said. I am really sick of Jim and Pam. I wish they would do more with Dwight and Angela--they're the real "it" couple on that show for me. I think they're adorable. And Michael...well, I love Ssteve Carelll, but the other night I wasn't laughing. I was actiually cringing. Like I couldn't watch it.
We had two days off from school last week because it was so fricking cold here, and I spent it watching Season 2 at home on my computer. And what I realized over that time is that I really, truly hate Michael's character. And I think the show would be better without him. They really need to tone him down because most of the time hed doesn't make me laugh--he makes me so uncomfortable that I can't even watch him.

iHeartMyGeek, while I don't agree that the show would be better without Michael, I do cringe during most of the scenes that he's in. He's just too over the top.
They should definitely tone him down a bit. . . sometimes I get nervous watching the show!
However, in some ways, he's not nearly as terrifying as the boss in the original Office.

I'm sorry; I have to disagree whole-heartedly. Steve Carell is perfect as Michael. Michael is an idiot, but there is something about him that is endearing and deep down, good. In this episode, his crazy behavior was all about redeeming himself from the embarrassment of his mother's wedding when he was a child. He wants so desperately to be loved and accepted that he goes overboard. He may be over the top, but he always pays the consequences.
The end where he "found Uncle Al" redeemed him to Phyllis. It was touching, I thought.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 12:32pmI was watching the Brit version on PBS last night. Michael Scott is annoying and pathetic, but Ricky gervais as David Brent is downright scary at times - scarier than Dwight/Gareth, even!

There is no show without Michael.
And I loved last week's episode. It was non-stop laughs for me.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 8:41pmMicheal Scott is suposed to be cheezy, pathetic, etc...there are mid managers just like him!!! I used to work for a guy JUST like Michael Scott...except for some of the conference room stuff (the Diversity episode for example). But, the corny stuff he says & does all throughout the office...was totally dead on with this guy!!!!

"Exactly. It's like a son you didn't think would amount to anything. You don't like the way he's made his money, but at least he's doing well. You'd rather he'd become a lawyer or doctor, but he owns a casino."
---- Ricky Gervais on the NBC version of The Office.
I personally have been getting a bad "jumping the shark" vibe the past few episodes...it was never meant to go on this long...the hilarity and absurdity in the minutiae...I am become more and more aware of storylines...primarily Jim/Pam.
