And I can't believe Toby's going to be going after Pam. God love him, but no. While he was walking over to her desk, I kept screaming "No Toby! Don't do it!" Pam should have taken up with Jim when she had the chance. Now she's going to have to fend off Kevin and Toby! re: The Office

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I didn't care for this episode. I'm a long time fan and I think this has got to be one of my least favorite episodes. It wasn't bad it just as a whole it wasn't spectacular. IMO.

Jess, I am so jealous. :P
Anyway: I loved this week's episode. Michael falling all over himself to get Jim to come back, the "party" in the hotel room, Kelly FEEDING Ryan on their date, Jim mistaking Angela for a hooker...God, I love this show!
And considering how this thread is shaping up, I think I'll change the title to reflect the whole season. Does anyone object?

What a great episode! I was kinda sick and feeling like I wanted to die, but I managed to stay awake long enough to make it through "The Coup."

My favorite part was when Michael's attitude totally changed when Dwight started dissing his car. That compounded with Dwight crying and grovelling while Angela looks on in Machivellian disgust? Brilliant.

Another favorite--Jan loves to outlet shop and Dwight has a knack for pooring syrup in his lap. Who knew?

Ahhh I haven't been on BWW in FOREVER!! I too, am in love with The Office and obsess over it and will never miss an episode. So far, I think the first episode was the best of the third season.

The course of true love never did run smooth.

My favorite moment last night:

Dwight playing the recorder and Pam singing "On the Wings of Love" at the bird funeral.

Oh, and Stanley "You have just spit in my face."

My favorite line of the evening:

"There is such a thing as good grief. Just ask Charlie Brown."

That and the whole scene with Creed in Michael's office. Also Dwight's attempt to fit the dead bird into a pop can. "Is that its beak?!?"

I plan on downloading it from iTunes tonight; I had a performance and was obliged to miss the live airing.

Stupid iTunes not uploading shows the day they air...grrrr

Wow, long time no see!
For the first time in weeks I was actually home to see an episode instead of having to tape it. This week's was one of their best overall. One of my favorite lines: "I always knew the branch would shut down, but I always figured it would be because Michael sold the building for some magic beans."

The “Producer’s Cut” on NBC’s site has some great stuff that didn’t make it into the broadcast episode (Kelly and Meredith have some especially funny moments).

What does everyone else think of Rashida Jones as Karen? I really don't care for her at all, so I'm less than thrilled about her making the move to Scranton. I think it'd be so much better if I really felt torn between who I wanted Jim to (potentially) end up with...but I really don't like her! Should be interesting.

I hope with Jim coming back and all the dynamics that might bring (will Jim be over Dwight in the power scheme now?) that they'll keep the action inside the office itself a bit more for the rest of the season.

If Jim was supposed to be second-in-command at Stamford, what will his position be at Scranton? Will he be above Dwight?

ALSO - I loved Michael's line in the teaser for next week - when he meets Karen:

"You have a very exotic look - was your father a G.I.?"

They offered him second in command at Scranton as well.

Great line: "You know what, this is perfect. Because you know what came in the mail today? 1000 business cards with this location and phone number." As someone who is quitting her job in a month, I can totally relate.

The deleted scenes were beyond fantastic. Meredith and Creed really need more screen time this season.

Most poignant line: "Say what you will about Michael Scott, but he would NOT do THAT."

I laughed so hard tonight, I thought I was going to die. Perfection!

Although I am very miffed at Jim right now. Poor lil' Pamela.

I think they're starting to get to the point where it feels like the writers are forcing Jim and Pam apart, just for the sake of doing it.

I don't like that Karen. She's nothing but trouble.
As usual, this week's episode was excellent (except for Jim being a jerk). I especially enjoyed watching the sparks fly between Dwight and Andy. Ed Helms and Rainn Wilson are hilarious together.

I'm sorry, but Ed Helms' Andy earnestly singing "the Rainbow Connection" to Pam was one of the funniest moments I've ever seen.

Solid episode, although a disappointing lack of Dwight throughout most of it.

And that scene where Andy called Jim and told him he was horny, leading to Jim awkwardly telling him he couldn't help him with that -- totally happened to me once. As soon as that scene happened, I was besieged by calls from co-workers laughing.

I thought I was going to DIE when he started singing "Rainbow Connection"!!! Did you hear him do the line in pig latin?

Slightly off topic, but you can catch Mr. Krasinski in a brief cameo in the current Christopher Guest film "For Your Consideration." He plays a cop.
