OMG Today was so sad! Lena & Kristy worked harder than every one. I realy thought it was the old folks time, but they just made it. Felt really sorry for them.

I think Jonathan needs some anger management.

I have a feeling next week will be non-elimination. And the old folks will hang on by a thread again.

That was such a tragic episode. Lena and Kristy were at the hay from the beginning. She must have spaced out and missed seeing the clue or something. It was just torture to watch. They were brilliant players and I thought for sure they would end up in the final three. Oh well...

I sincerely hope Jonathan pushes it too far and lands himself in jail. I thought Colon was bad, but Jonathan takes the cake. I hope one of the wrestlers beats the snot out of him.

I want Victoria to realize how he controls her. WAKE UP! Forget about the show and dump him!

I love how all other players think he's a jerk, too.

***SPOILERS***

Well, we learned too much about Hellboy. Apparently, he still lives with his parents and his mother cuts his toenails for him. In the final challenge, thought they arrived early, he was passed up by practically every girl in the game lifting buckets of salt. His ex called his wussy and a girl and it was definitely a Jerry Springer moment.

Bluehair (Jonathan) never yelled at Clueless (Victoria). That was kind of weird. But he was still unbearably annoying. When he handed out candies to some African children on the beach (never a good idea in a foreign country), Clueless gushed about what a terrific father he would be. Apparently, she's never actaully met him.

The elderly couple were the last to arrive (because they keep choosing the most time-consuming and problematic detours), but it was not an elimination round. Now they get to try and beg for money in a poverty stricken country in Africa. Good luck with that!

Highlight:

Hellboy: "What do you want me to do? Do you want me to jump off this ferry? Is that what you want me to do?"

Hellboy's Ex: "Would you, please?"

I also enjoy Rebecca calling him "Her girlfriend"

She would have done well on that detour.

i was actually mad jonathan didn't go crazy. two of my friends were watching for the first time, so i was going on and on about how terrible he was... and then he wasn't terrible! what gives?

i also thought that, besides the whole old-people vs. fat person race at the end (i KNEW it was going to be non-elimination, too), there wasn't very much drama in this ep. i mean, people thought the city hall opened THREE HOURS after it really did, yet everyone then got on the same plane. i like it when there's lots of draaama. Yeah, it wasn't as dramatic, but the Hellboy stuff was pretty entertaining and I'm always flabbergasted at the folks who make such obviously bad choices as fishing (totally unpredictable and unreliable) or counting (getting the exact numbers is very unreliable and who can't put together an IKEA piece of furniture that includes tools and the DIRECTIONS with PICTURES to follow?).

I think Jonathan wasn't as nuts because there were always ahead and could easily gaugue their placement. The longer they stay in the game, the more anxious he'll get and he will become a time bomb. A good father? She must have doubled up on her medication.

OH MY GOD!!!

DID YOU SEE JONATHAN PUSH VICTORIA!! I WAS TO RIP HIS VOCAL CORDS OUT OF HIS THROAT AND SHOVE THEM UP HIS ASS!!

HE GOT IN SECOND PLACE - WHO THE F*CK CARES IF THEY DIDN'T GET FIRST! THEY TRIED AND JUST MISSED. WHAT A JACK@$$!!

I WANT TO BEAT HIM!

And Victoria, as I keep saying, is just as dumb. DUMP HIM. KICK HIM IN THE BALLS AND RUN!

GOD HOW I HATE THAT MAN!

Highlight:

Jonathan's thoughts on the city of Berlin...

"It's a beautiful city. You've got to respect a country that created the Mercedes."

He's all class.

And he has zero respect for his wife. He's a low-life self-centered no-excuse for a human being. But there were some pretty hideous comments made from some of the women about Africa as well. It's people like that that make me want to apologize for being American.

On a positive note, I was thrilled to see Berlin. I spent two months in summer school at a German university and spent a long weekend in Berlin (including seeing productions of Nine and Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame). I visited most of the sites where they stopped and it was very nostalgic for me. I hope to go back there sometime soon. Berlin is a fascinating city both in its history and culture.

Too bad the Golden Globe noms are already out, Victoria could've easily snagged one for that screaming at the end.

I am absolutely disgusted by Jonathon and his physical abuse of Victoria. The fact that he has yet to be disqualified truly sickens me. You could tell that Phil was just completely disugsted by what Jonathon did.

A lot of the people on my livejournal friendslist are planning on boycotting the rest of the season and writing letters of complaint to CBS, since they've allowed someone who physically harms his wife to stay in the race.

"It's people like that that make me want to apologize for being American."

I KNOW!

"Ugh, I hate this country. I hate this poverty."

"C'mon, let's get our of here. I can't stand this poverty anymore."

But you have to respect the grandparents not asking them for money. Their comments moved me. "Here we are, rich Americans now without a single cent, and we have to ask these people for money that they don't have every day in their life?"

I was half-watching when they were collecting money. Were they doing it from other contestants, or tourists?

And DO NOT boycott the show yet. This is the first real physical harm he has done to Victoria, the rest is emotional. I am sure if he does something again - something will be done about it. You may think "oh, the producers are keeping them on the show because it draws great ratings!" but this is not the case. This is one reality show that DOES NOT do this. The host, and the producers of the show (not the network) care about the integrity of it. They care about what the show is about: bringing together couples and learning about other cultures and history of the world.

My step-uncle was VP for the network the year the Amazing Race began (he resigned that year). He said it was his favorite project.

Last night was the first time I viewed the latest incarnation of this show. I was shocked when Jonathan shoved Victoria (hello, physical abuse anybody?) The producers should have disqualified him right then and there. But then again, they probably think he's good for ratings.

I must say that I got choked up when the other teams (Jonathan included) gave up some of their money to help the one couple who had to start with nothing and refused to beg from the public. That was a fantastic display of good sportsmanship and integrity on all parties involved.

I know this would be stupid, but if I were Victoria I would just sit down 100 yards from the finish line and wait to get eliminated. That would probably make Jonathan explode. My favorite team is the father daughter team and the ones that one this week.

Did anyone see this article today in the Post:

December 21, 2004 -- Jonathan Baker — the foul- tempered, world-trekker on "The Amazing Race 6" who has scandalized fans with his berating abuse of his wife on the streets of Berlin — was so out of control producers told him to "chill out" before last week's infamous shoving episode.

"I had many conversations with him," executive producer Bertram van Munster told The Post yesterday. "I told him you've got to tone it down, you have to stop this kind of stuff, it's not cool — until then, I'd never given advice to a reality show player before to chill out."

On last week's edition of the show, Baker, 42, shoved his wife, former Playboy pinup Victoria Fuller, 32, in anger, and yelled at her as she tearfully struggled to carry both of their heavy backpacks across the finish line during a challenge. As a result, they came in second.

The Internet has lit up with talk among outraged fans who have turned Baker into the kind of reality-TV villain that hasn't been seen since bad-girl Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth turned up on "The Apprentice" last spring.

"I would have never believed anything could happen like this," says van Munster. "I had warned him over and over again, but if he doesn't want to listen, there's nothing I can do about it.

"I told him the camera can be used in many ways — it's a dangerous instrument and there comes a point where you can't change [what it sees] — I've been very fair with him."

Because the Bakers have not yet been eliminated from the series, fans of the show will find out tonight how low the husband might stoop.

"I had a very firm talk with him that night," van Munster says. "But he keeps on being Jonathan, although there's no more pushing and shoving, I can tell you that."

"The editing wasn't kind to me, was it?" Baker said in an interview with the Providence Journal last month. "Victoria and I are like any married couple, we fight sometimes, but not like that. . . . We do love each other. But the way we're represented, I'm abusing her."

"All of us have our faults," Baker wrote this week on his personal Web site. "Unfortunately for me, millions of viewers are getting to see mine each week. I do not abuse Victoria, what you see is a heightened version of stress and obsession mixed with medication for a sickness called Sarcoidosis."

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease that causes inflammation of the body's tissues and one that affects different people in different ways.

"We were not aware of it and whether this is fact or fiction I don't know," says van Munster.

there's a problem when the producers have to tell a contestant to tone it down.

OMG I think it would be the funniest thing ever if Victoria just stopped 100 feet from the finish and refused to go any further... that is until he punches her in the face for doing it...
