I have a feeling the backlash from the last episode will eliminate TAR from the Emmy race and Apprentice will sweep in to win.

The teams had to go to Hungry and while they were there, they had to catch a train to Budhapest but the wrestlers missed the train so they have to wait till the next day. Johnathon is becomming more freaky and scary by the minute (he got pissed because Gus and Hera got earlier pland tickets). Oh and no one got kicked off because it is a to be continued episode. I hate those!

I must have missed the part with the plane tickets. Why was Jonathen peed off at Gus and Hera? Did they take his tickets or something?

Johnathon and Victoria were waiting at the airport but apparentlly Gus and hEra got there a few seconds before them and snatched the last two tickets for the earlier flight. Johnathon wouldn't drop the subject and he was really pissed at the other team for the rest of the show.

Ok now I really want Gus and Hera to win. I think they got the tickets before b/c they went to a travel agent and not the desk where Jonathan was. But I'm not totally sure how that worked. I feel bad for the wrestlers, they're one of my favorite teams and I hope it goes ridiculously long so they can catch up.

On tonight, and as a preview, the NY Post has another Jonathan article today:

'WE'RE ONLY ACTING'

By DON KAPLAN

January 4, 2005 -- IT was all an act, claims the abu sive, wife-shoving "Amazing Race" contestant who has angered millions with his appalling behavior on the popular reality show.

"We went in being the villains. We went in playing it over the top, and CBS kind of helped it along with their storyline," racer Jonathan Baker, 42, told "Access Hollywood."

"I've had to do a lot of apologizing to a lot of people because they actually think it's real," he said.

During a recent episode, Baker became so angry with his wife, Victoria Fuller, for hampering him during a challenge that he shoved her — hard — as she cried.

"And yeah, some of it's real," he told the TV show. "But you know at the end of the day we really wanted to play it campy, over the top, you know. But we do love each other and we are together. We're still together."

The "I was acting," excuse is just the latest of several Baker has used to explain away his abusive behavior during the show, in which he verbally assualts Fuller, a former Playboy model, and other contestants.

In an interview Baker gave before the latest season of "Amazing Race" began, Baker — knowing how likely it was that he would appear to be a jerk on the show — first blamed the editing of the series. Later, he claimed his behavior was due to stress, a rare medical condition and the prescription drugs used to treat it.

"Amazing Race" producers were so horrified by his antics that the show's chief, Bertram van Munster, even took Baker aside several times during the taping last summer and told him to "chill out."

Worse, the Web site and Baker's other attempts to explain his behavior could land the foul-tempered reality fiend in even more trouble with CBS, since he is prohibited from speaking publicly until he either wins the game or is kicked off.

it was on at 9.

********SPOILERS BELOW********

I was so sad that Gus and Hera were eliminated. i really liked them. but kris and john are still in it, so yay! today's episode further proved why jonathon is disgusting. uggggggg. and the fact that he keeps changing his story to the press is even more suspicious. watching everyone puke up the hot soup made me nauseous. i totally thought lori and bolo were out of it at the end of last episode...guess now. aaaand that's about all i have to say about this episode.

Agree with everything you said. Soup made me want to vomit. Glad they lost - not that I don't like them - but you knew they were gonna lose, better to get out of the way now.

Jonathan is an ass. But tonight, Victoria started to kick back. "It would really help if you would shut up" instead of "I'm sorry." But she is such a little baby. Go back to Playboy.

I think it's hilarious that Jonathan thinks every cab driver will care if he's in a race. Gus never realy seemed to care about the race much, so I really felt sorry for Hera. He was dragging her behind so much. I don't feel Victoria is realy a baby, but she has a lot to deal with. Jonathan would not leave her alone for one second or even encourage her during the whole soup ordeal. Everything she does, he just pounds on her that she's not doing it well enough or fast enough and keeps acting like she has no idea that they are in a competition. I'm sure eating that soup was pretty tough (as illustrated by the numerous vomitings) and I know if I was throwing up on national television, I would be pretty humiliated as well.

i feel really sorry for victoria. she needs to get help and extricate herself from this very unhealthy relationship. i like how some of the other women in the race try to be encouraging when jonathan isn't. for example, kris rooted her on a little bit during the soup eating. no woman should have to put up with what she does. no man either, for that matter. it's really only a matter of time before he starts really beating her up and she ends up in the hospital.
