Oh I was in the city 3 of those days! I wish I knew you were there I would have stopped by and said hi!

Well done Nia!!!
And Tiff, would you have to go to law school in your hometown?
Maybe you could migrate to deepest Quebec, or London, or Cape Town or somewhere...what's so great about Vancouver? Nothing at all I tell you.

^^ Better?
Som, is this a good thing or bad thing? I'm guessing bad thing, but you guys seem to think this is a good thing? *confused*
CQ, yeah I read your reviews. Well written! Did you go sightseeing at all? Is it your first time to NYC? What hotel were you in? What did you do on new year's? Did you see the tree @ Rockefeller?
Ellie, yeah I'm thinking of going to Quebec, but if I go to McGill (Which is s'posed to be one of hte best in Canadia), I can only practice in Quebec. Ick. Ontario's REALLY expensive and their law school applications were due in November. I'm now thinking of somewhere in Alberta or Manitoba (Winnipeg). I'm just worried about finances.
I hope b_s_t comes back soon. I need her help for my law school exam. Try #3!

What suburb do your grandparents live in? Did you stay in midtown a lot? Did you go sightseeing or are you beyond that? Crazy shopping expedition? Where did you eat? Did you go to the Met?
Som, oh good! Okay...so what do you need help with?
ebonic, I dunno if that was directed at me, but I'm one yelling-at away from packing my bags and being on your doorstep tomorrow, like it or not.

*screams at the prospect and crosses McGill off the list*
*runs out of the room, still screaming at that orange-skinned, bleached haired, chest-thumping FREAK - and this is coming from someone who had Jacko photos!*

Mind still spinning, so I can't comment intelligently... Tiff, the only suggestion I have is a straightjacket.

She'll find you. Wherever you go. *cackles madly and evilly*
And what hotel do you stay in when you go to NYC, Tiff?
Do you need any advice, Som? Did you say YES??
Ellie, she really will find me. She's already recorded the stupid song for the stupid Air Canada commercials that I hear ALL THE TIME. And here I thought we were rid of her when she moved to Vegas
What hotels have I stayed in when I'm in NYC? I've stayed at the Super 8 Times Square (yeah, it's a Super 8 but it's a fantastic price considering the location, and it has a free breakfast and Internet kiosks!), Novotel, Algonquin and Doubletree Suites. Et tu?

The Fitzpatrick and the Westin. Good, but expensive. Oh well, I wasn't paying.
The Super 8 is cheap, the Novotel is average (US$150 a night), the Doubletree and the Algonquin are expensive. It wasn't my dime other, really. I told my friend I could only afford the Super 8 and I gave her my half, and she paid the rest so we could stay at nicer places. Even though she was a bitch and a half to travel with (which is a whole other story in and of itself, which nearly ruined my NYC trip!), I can't complain when she's the reason I stay in nice digs!
Where's the Fitzpatrick? Is the Westin on 42nd? Sounds familiar.
ETA: Have we scared off Ebonic and CQ?

The Fitzpatrick is way off near Grand Central. I prefer staying near Times Square, so the Westin was better - just on 42nd St, I think. My memory is hazy, it's all the cocaine.
