Posted: 1/3/05 at 7:54pmHello all I'm back! Carl's hot in that photo, and I'm in the middle of watching Sex and the City, season 3. Anyone else here a SatC fan? (You know you're obsessed when you actually call it "Sat-Kuh." Not...that...I...do.)

Fine, fine. I started two new books this afternoon: Bridget Jones's Diary (be proud of me, Monkey and Tiff!), and Bonfire of the Vanities (which is really big, I now realize). Good stuff.
And how was your day?

Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:08pmGood, good. I was asked in my science class by my teacher to basically tutor my friend and help her pass, which felt a little weird. And my theatre club leader didn't get mad at me for not memorizing my lines!

That sounds fabulous! Need any help?
BTW, v.v. proud of you Monkey. I adore the first Bridget book. I really over-identify with her. The second book isn't as good (mainly because the Thai prison subplot is so stupid) but it's still worth a read.
Delph, ONE episode? That's a crime.

My thoughts exactly.
So what do you think of Bridget so far? I might go and re-read that book tonight. Hmmm....I'm in a very Bridget-y mood.
EDIT: Incapable of spelling "Bridget." Sorry.

I'm still plugging through Da Vinci Code again. It doesn't have the same zing the second time round. Maybe I'll pick up Bridget afterwards. I also wanted to re-read the HP series, but that may be put on hold until the spring. *le sigh*
So what are you chicas up to tonight? I'm going on a Girls Night Out in a few hours! Wheeee!

Absolutely, positively nothing. I might muster up enough effort to call my frieds. But other than that, my iPod and I shall be the best of friends today. (Not that we aren't every day, of course.)
#4691I love the insanity
Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:19pmI liked The Da Vinci Code more and more. I've read it about 5 times since last year.
#4692I love the insanity
Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:20pmI have yet to read the Da Vinci code. But I am interested.

Tiffie, be proud of me, not Monkey! I'm the one reading Bridget! *pout*
And now that I think about it, I've seen 2 episodes of SatC. I'll start watching more, I promise!

Oops, sorry Delph. I'm proud of YOU, and not proud of Monkey at all! Is that better?
ETA: But Delph, you've only watched 2 episodes, so that pride gets cancelled out, whereas Monkey's a fan, so that pride gets placed on her instead. PAH!
Monkey, DEFINITELY pick up Da Vinci Code. It's a real page turner.
MFL, I think it's because the first time I read it, I had all the time in the world to read it from cover to cover in one sitting, whereas I've been so busy the last few days that it's just a few pages here, a few pages there and it's really hard to become immersed in it. I'm only at the part where Langdon's first seen "O Draconian Devil...etc.etc." and he's trying to figure out what it means, so I'm not in that far yet. I never finished reading it either last time--- ***spoilers*** (I stopped at the part where Fache gives the ring back to somebody...?) ***end spoilers*** because I had to return it to the library but now I own it and I'm dying to find out the end!
Did you ever read Angels and Demons?

Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:24pmYeah, Delph needs some lovin' here. I've already read it. Thrice, I believe.
#4696I love the insanity
Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:24pmI was going to read Angels and Demons but I never got around to it. I will eventually.

Huh, Monkey? I thought you hadn't read it?
MFL, I heard it's better than DVC. Who knows. I know art better than I know religion, so the Da Vinci parts hook me in, and A&D is based in the Vatican, I think, which I know nothing about.

Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:31pmGeez, I come here hoping to talk to Monkey (who should be proud of herself) and you , Tiff, but instead I am beaten down with a rusty, barbed pipe. Thanks a lot Tiff! *runs into the corner*
