Really, Guido? Is there more information on this out there? I don't want to hurt anything. How is it bad or confusing, exactly? I'm confused.

probably somewhere, Nia. I don't exactly know all the details, but when I was going through my depression a couple weeks ago. When I wasn't sleeping for almost 200 hours..I asked the doctors about power napping and they said "don't do it". So I didn't.

Yikes.

I don't know if this is rude or prying... but after 200 hours, how warped are things? I know there's a point where you start to hallucinate.

That did sound rude. Don't answer if you don't want to.

I really hope you're ok... that's bad, bad depression. Are you sleeping a little better now?

Ak I know just what you mean about naps, but mine are like an hour long. Too bad they're not good for me. My brother will go to sleep at like 2, get up @ 6, then sleep from 3-6 in the afternoon. Now that's unhealthy.

Is it healthy to go to sleep at one and get up at five thirty? And do the ten-minute thing?

I think it's acceptable (not nec good for you) to sleep from 1-5:30 (I do that almost every day), but I don't think powernaps are good for you, because your body's in the process of shutting down for a few hours and then you suddenly jolt it up.

When you get up, what do you usually have for breakfast? Today all I had was a banana cause I had NO time.

Hey look! I threadjacked!

Why do you end up staying up so late/getting up so early in the first place? Or maybe I'm just being an idiot and there really is a reason behind your username....
I'm no expert on 'power naps' but I bet if you would just allow yourself to fall completely asleep for 45 min- an hour it would give you the same energy (if not more) and most likely be more healthy for you...

Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do... RIP Jason

I think the problem is more the fact that in 10 minutes you're just getting into your REM sleep (the deep sleep) so if you jolt yourself out of it instead of waking up on your own, then it screws you up.

(OneBlazeofGlory, is it a bad thing that whenever I see your name, mentally, I heard Adam Pascal go, "One blaze of...GLOOOOO-RYYYYYYY...find....etc..."?? Litereally, it plays in my head EVERY TIME I see your name.)

An energy bar! Or a breakfast burrito!

I actually have no idea. I always skip breakfast.
