So, I know a lot of us on this board are performers.

The question arises - Any of you have any in-show crushes right now, or do you have the tendency to fall for your co-stars?

Talk about it here.

Currently, I'm doing Fiddler on the Roof and have quasi-semi-little-crushes on the guys playing Motel, Perchik, and a random Russian. Sigh. They're all younger than me.

The last show I did, I actually crushed on a guy. A GUY. Freaked me out.

I had the same crush on the same guy in HS. Every show we did, we were never paired up, and I always had to admire him from afar. Then for my senior year, we auditioned for Les Mis and got Eponine and Marius and I nearly died from happiness. Then my director changed the musical to The Music Man, and we got switched to Alma Hix and Harold Hill. re: The Official 'In-show crushes' thread

I am crush of the week guy.

I had a terrible crush on this straight guy while doing West Side Story 15 years ago... and he was so nice, we did everything together. He had no idea I was crushing inside.

A couple of years ago I had a big crush on this guy in a show I choreographed. We have since become very good friends...

For the most part, I'm not the "Show-mance" type.

But I met my boyfriend in a production of Cinderella.

I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

When I was younger I was the worst person about falling for the guys in the show. My most disastrous relationship was with a guy I met doing a show. I think it was a sign that we were playing a brother and sister, but the sexual tension between us was palpable when we were off stage, what was a girl to do?

I met my boyfriend in a show!
and actually tonight we block the kissing scene in the Mikado for the first time....no crush there....but for those of you familiar with the show- Yum Yum and Nanki Poo have PLENTY of smooching.
Before I met my boyfriend most of my shows were riddled with 35-year-old pervs or guys my age who liked other guys my age. I lucked out with my boyfriend!

Oh, the kissing scene in The Mikado

This oh this (kiss kiss)
oh this (kiss)
this
is what I'll never never do.

Fond memories. Actually, I was Pitti-Sing, but it was fun to watch - since Nanki Poo and Yum Yum hated each other a lot.

Hah, there was a little bit of tension between me and the girl that played the Tzeitel to my Motel in Fiddler last summer, but it passed and now we are just good friends. Also this summer I was cast as Tommy Keeler in Annie Get your Gun, and they cast one of my best friends as Winnie. While there is definitely no crush it is great that we have instant chemistry (she was Audrey to my Seymour when we were in high school together).

I've had a crush on a guy since my first show, which was four years ago!

Well we're both spending a summer in the same play. I hope I get paired with him in some scene ;D

I was paired up as bf/gf with this guy in a musical review we did..
This year he had the lead and I had supporting, but he hung out a lot backstage with the girls in the costumes that were too small for them lol.

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

I just did a show and my co-star and I both had a secret crush one each other throughout the entire production. Right after it closed we confessed to each other and have been dating for the past two months! Luckily, we were both cast in the same show immediately after that too.

True happiness can come from in show dating. Take it from me.

When I did PARTY in Denver, I had an itch for one of the other actors. It turned out that during one scene, I had to sit about 2 feet from him and watch him do 20 jumping-jacks while naked. That was hard - so to speak.

It seems strangely easy to develop crushes when the object of one's affection is doing nude jumping jacks two feet in front of you...

My first two major relationships were with people in shows with me. Now I just look and drool a lot.

This thread makes me really happy inside! I'll let you in on my silly love life. I had the BIGGEST crush on this guy, and we were both cast in a show together. We had this big, long courtship, and now we're in love. I've never been happier!

If Paige Davis can meet her husband doing Beauty and the Beast, then dammit, there is still hope! I had a crush on the guy playing Seymore in HS but alas I was just a mere puppet mover for Audrey II (don't ask) so he sang to me but it never went past that.

Unfortunately, I have a tendency to do that. But nothing has ever come of them. It has happened a few times though. ::counts:: They are all either gay or have girlfriends. I think it's cause we spend so much time with them. We don't see anyone else for weeks and weeks.
