Well, at the end of the day, Adam's management/publicist was out of order with how they demanded to unnecessarily edit an interview before it even happened. The 'Out' open letter did raise some valid points, but it's come across as bitchy and accusative of Adam when he didn't actually do anything. I'm sure he would have been more than willing to answer all the questions if they were asked.
Anyone with a brain can see Adam is a 'Gay-gay', throwing in a sexy hetero photo shoot may have given some girls a glimmer of hope (which is almost certainly why they did it) but for the rest of us, we're under no illusion that he isn't gay...we just don't consider it a huge deal.
I do think it's unfair how they've thrown a title of 'pioneering gay pop star' and telling him that he has to prove himself worthy...when he's explicitly said he doesn't want it. When he's older and further along in his career, I have no doubt he will take a stand and until then I'm sure he won't keep his opinions to himself...but jeez, give the guy a break. His main concern right now is making his career (you know, what he's been gearing up to all his life) work.

^Exactly. I really AM glad that they called out Adam's management, because what they did WAS ridiculous.
But it's just not right to blame ADAM for it.
And, you know, I guess it depends on what the motives actually were for it, but I think there's a way in which the Details shoot was pretty darn bold. If they were doing it just to make the straight girls go even more crazy and start thinking there's hope, then that's kind of silly. But I also think that in a way it was making a statement about how quick we tend to be in boxing people in. Adam's very much about not conforming- to any stereotype or expectation. So in a way the Details shoot was kind of saying "why CAN'T a gay man do a sexy photoshoot with a woman? Does that make him any less gay in reality?"
So yeah.. again, it depends what the motives behind the shoot actually were. But I like to think they were doing it to make a point. And in a way, it wouldn't have been as big a thing if he'd done the same thing with a guy because that's what people would expect. In fact, we already HAVE those pictures, from reality :P So what he did in Details just made people think a little bit, and not be so quick to box him in as "the gay guy"- even though he IS no less gay than he was before he did the shoot, and he fully acknowledges that.
aaanyway, about the MUSIC:
I have been listening to it waaaay too much already haha. The entire thing. Perfection. Fever is most definitely a stand out <3 And Sure Fire Winners. And Pick U Up is awesome too (the BRIGE in that song, gah). And all the slow songs are soooo beautiful.
It's just an all together thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining CD!
I kinda really want Fever to be the second single. Just imagine if it got super popular and got to the top of the charts- how awesome would it be to say "the number 1 song in the country right now is sung by a guy, opening with 'there he goes, my baby walks so slow, sexual tic-tac-tow' and going on to talk about 'silly menage a trois'"? XD Also it's just one of the most awesome songs on the album hehe
Anyone live in NYC?

I can't figure out where Adam takes a breath in the bridge of Pick U Up. damn!

I'd imagine Adam's and the Photographer's idea behind the Details shoot were along the lines of what you mentioned snl89, but I bet his publicist/management were pretty pleased for entirely different - and less creative - reasons.
It basically made him more approachable from a marketing perspective, more street cred with straight guys and sexual appeal for straight girls.
Fever is a great track, GaGa definitely knows how to write a good pop song. Combined with how Adam sings it, there's kind of a nostalgia about it but it's still fresh.
Fever is the best song on the album. My mind was in the gutter until I realized the menage a trois was with bars/stars. Bummer, lol
It could be a huge radio hit, if radio will embrace the 'he'. I'd love to see it happen!
AMAs on Sunday, can't wait!

Hey New Yorkers! Vote for this thang!
https://eventful.com/performers/adam-kris-allison-/P0-001-000216224-2/competitions
FREE Adam, Kris, and Allison concert in whatever city demands it the most! Right now NYC is 2nd behind Little Rock with only 17 votes to tie them
Aside from the fact that I'm selfish and want it here because I live 30 minutes from the city, I also just think it would be more fair. Little Rock is Kris's home turf, and he's already PLAYED tons of concerts there! NYC would by awesome, and more fair to Adam and Alli
(plus, again, way more convenient for us NYers! hehe)
Damn. Can anyone verify that this picture is real?
I LOVE IT!!

Ugh. I was a casual "I like this guy, I hope he wins" fan during Idol, but in the past roughly week and a half, I've gone completely over to the other side. I'm so smitten, it's f*cking ridiculous. I just spent like an hour on YouTube gobbling up all the things I had been too lazy to look through in the past, and re-watching some Idol stuff. Not the best use of my time, lol.
Anyway, yeah, that picture is from the current issue of People, so presumably it's legit.
Boy, is he purdy!
and Emcee, between Justin, Adam P. and Adam L. just who is the prettiest??
I want to have Adam's babies if it were possible.
I plead the 5th. I already feel like I'm cheating on the main object of my affection lately.
And who says a girl can't have it all anyway!
Haha, well, I try.

That pic is SOOO UNFtastic <333 (and yes, it's definitely real- it's from a photo spread from People magazine :P)
Actually, that entire photoshoot was amazing!
I ADORE natural!Adam <33 I mean obviously the glitter and glam is his thang, it fits his personality, and I would never ever want his personality to change. But seeeeriously he does not need any form of makeup or glitz AT ALL to be gorgeous. In fact, sometimes it even takes away a little bit from his natural beauty!
*-*
You forgot to link the page with the actual text.
He is gorgeous even without the makeup. I think he's been piling it on a little too heavy for some of the recent appearances, but I'm a strong believer in the idea that more men should wear eyeliner.
OMFG is that People on newstands already? If so, people on the street get out of my way cos I am power walking to Walgreens!
Yeah. It's the one with Tiger on the cover.
Well, I'm very pleased to hear about The View! And to be honest, I am very tempted to try and get stand-by tickets because I am dying to see him live, but I don't think I can handle getting up that early, or putting up with the level of crazy that will surely have the same idea.
I already have the dvr set to record it. I can't wait to see what that Hasselbeck (sp?) bitch throws at him.
I randomly decided to pop in and see what the BWW peeps were saying about Adam. The last person I expected to see was luvtheEmcee! Hey, dear, glad you wandered over to the wild side... or whatever.
And tame Adam is absolutely no fun, and that is likely what we'll get on The View. Damn you, FCC.
I love the picture of him with the sunglasses.
Haha, really? I feel like the only reason I've surprised myself is because he's so "mainstream," and for a long time I was on one of those "Mainstream music SUCKS!" crusades. But in terms of who he is, I'm so not surprised. He totally fits the criteria for my weakness. Perhaps mildly ashamed, but that's fading fast.
I hope Elisabeth simply looks at him, explodes, and goes away forever.

Woahhh, Elisabeth was actually DEFENDING him! He must have worked some epic charm on her
That was actually a really good interview. Probably the best of the mainstream interviews he's done post-AMA debacle.
And also LOL at "the dreidel spins the other way" hahaha
He's so cute
